Endgame: What Job Are YOU Locked Into?

SMN or RDM

I'd like to say my other jobs but they arnt as wanted or needed as these 2 jobs. I got BRD but I like to pretend it doesn't exist.

Just got my BLM to 75, soooo. Yea.

Three mistakes here: RDM, BRD, BLM. /comfort~

I reallly hate people with your mentality, just saying. If everyone had a melee and a mage job, rotations would be possible and people wouldn't want to kill themselves. Of course, ***like this doesn't happen and the poor people who level insert random wanted job never get to leave it. Being DDonry is kinda stupid. :s

BRD.. yea major mistake. Only leveled that for quick merits lol I can control the partys EXP income flow.

RDM I like RDM, keeps me awake.

This also. Gotta be more open to FFXI, being glued to 1 thing is really dumb.

Just saying its a game. Leveling 1 thing, getting all that you can for that 1 thing and never ever touching another job that's just different is kinda a waste, but you people do what you do. Good luck with that!

I don't only have 1 DD job though. And I still don't have all the gear I need so.... what you said doesn't apply here. Thanks ^^

It does and it doesnt. I know lots of people who got tons of DD jobs leveled but only ever use one of them, waste?

Was just saying lol. And yeah I use all my jobs for different things so I'm never stuck on one certain one. But I still don't have to play any mages so... yay! lol

edit: btw i don't count blu as the normal mage so yeah :P

Mage jobs are fun, but certain jobs (BRD comes to mind) can really burn you out. If someone could say take the burden off you every few events, that'd really help. @_@;

I agree, BLU isn't a mage in my book either. I used to be pure DD for the first 1.5 years or so. I guess I kinda started liking being a support and keeping people alive kinda thing. Also as I said awhile ago SMN is one of my favorite jobs, that's more or less one of my DD jobs :3

BRD is like the most laid back job ever! Alof of the BRDs i noticed can easly do their thing, and not even have to focus as much, well cept for specific times like keeping elegy on an HNM 100% of the time or when it's time to wake up for a moment and countdown to zerg. See no reason to complain much.

Only reason I didn't care much for it was because of that.

Why don't you guys think of some enlightenment to that issue. Think of some way to overcome that by making a special rule that would fix that and everyone would realize and come to agree too. Then everyone on all worlds might start doing it to avoid that ever happening again because I'm sure alot of people would agree with you such as myself.

BRD is laid back, and I can easily play another video game while playing BRD, its just lame. I'm not perma-brd, so it's not a big deal for me, but I know people are perma-brd and that has to suck. :/

I'm not the best healer, and I have to struggle to stay awake when I do level a healer job in parties. Why level a mage job when I'm going to screw up and ruin the run for everyone? As for BLM, that's about the worst match for my play-style that exists.

Instead, I play DRG. I can engage, dish out some damage, and if I pull too much hate I can just release some of it back, or Super Jump it all away.

If you can mage in Endgame, more power to you. All I'd succeed in doing is getting my party killed.

I can see an LS leader making a very simple rule change to avoid this, and I haven't been able to think of a flaw in it yet.

Whoever is actually ON that job at the time takes priority over people who aren't. I.E., someone on PLD takes priority over the SAM that didn't feel like tanking today. The exception is that if you were ASKED to come a different job (i.e. wanted to come RNG, asked to come BRD,) then you keep the same higher priority as if you had come on that job.

Yes, in that example, they'd take priority on RNG and BRD lots at the same time, but if they were asked to come on BRD, that means their BRD is needed, and should be improved if possible. And if they don't like coming BRD, they could always try to recruit one somewhere else so that they can come RNG more often ;p

I was always locked into Whm in my ls..well I just left my ls so I am not locked into anything and boy its great right now.

Taking some "me" time to lvl a new job and I am loving it!

to much whm burns u out

All of you friends who hate playing X and wish you could play Y instead can simply raise Y to 99 and leave X at 75 following the next 5 updates.

I plan on it, etc.
