Endgame: What Job Are YOU Locked Into?

BRD and WHM.
Sometimes RDM but thankfully we have enough RDM's now so I don't have to come on that.
I'm leveling RNG atm, and I know I won't get a chance to come on that lol.

So like I applied to an endgame ls and i have war,mnk,sam,drk,drg75 and
nin 66 with over 260 merits, war fully merited and sam is close
and they ask me if I will level a back line job and I said no, they turned me down. All well geared biatches, just missing black belt, heca cap, ebody, vbelt. Oh well, they can suck it, faith/fort/justice torques mine

This drives me straight up the friggin wall.

"what should i come as?"
"Come Rdm/drk"
"I cant come drg?"
".....die"

Yeah, if you know someone that does that try asking them what they want to come as. You can then say something like, if we had an rdm we would be set, or something to that effect.

I try to do that with people who ask that a lot.. dunno if it works.. lol but it's just what I do.

If you have drg, I hope you have angon fully merited...

it depeneds what you are doing a fully merited drg with pimped out gear is lethal, and this just shows how little you know about drg

Why? They're asking you what YOU want them to come as. They didn't ask, "I was wondering if drg is an ok job to come as?" they were asking "What job do you want me to come as"

huge difference.

My advice to the people complaining about not been able to come a job of there choice would be go to make your own ls and see how stupid you look when you wipe because everyone comes what they want and not what they need.

I know, it's just what I've done in the past. Got one member in the LS that has like 15 jobs and never knows what to come as / always asks etc.. Thats just how I deal with that, not saying it's the best way or anything.

People figured it out and.. we wiped a few times.. specially at first but.. we worked it out and figured out what we needed to do without anyone giving orders to anyone.

First time we actually tried to do endgame we got 5 haidates in a week with 12 people, and we haven't put a single rule in place yet.

Dynamis Xarc: BRD COR DNC depending on people
Dynamis CoP: BRD
Limbus: BRD
Seacrap: SMN
JoL: BRD
Sky: BRD or SMN
ZNMs BRD or SMN
Salvage: BRD

My WHM doesn't really see the light of day. D:

Yeah, I initially leveled WHM to get away from being locked into BRD, but that never happened. Also my LS leader doesn't like WHM in general, and only takes 0-1 to stuff. I can't really complain, being able to come DNC to stuff is really fun and I wasn't expecting to go as it to events when I leveled it.

My LS leader's philosophy is basically, "eventually people will realize listening is easier than getting buffer again".

I was always locked into WHM in my LS from 2005-2008. I didn't mind that usually, whm was my favorite job always. Hated the days I would go another job, then I'd watch other WHM halfassedly do their job and lay out excuses for why people died when they weren't doing their job -_- WHM only job is not healing and I hated WHM who only cured. Preventing damage is a major factor in how a WHM keeps the group alive. The addition of /sch later on made it even better. Love watching a PLD in another party get beat up but everyone in my party resisting damn near everything by massive elemental NM's like JoL, Cerb or Tiamat. Not many WHM can constantly take under 50 damage by the KS99 wyrm in the air while all the rng/nin tanks take 0 damage most the time (via la barfira, +MDB, Shellra V and good fire gears on all DD for 5-6 man KS99!) ^^b

Still remember the first time I showed up on WHM to my final LS and was told by the leader "we don't use WHM for this". Talked them into letting me stay WHM then they realized we don't need much support with a WHM that pays attention so we can take more DD and get ***done faster ... imagine that. But that goes to say with most jobs ... people who pay attention work out better than those who don't -_-

Later on I got locked into BLM for the last LS I was in because other BLM just took it as a job that didn't require much attention (i.e. never slept stuff or iNukez only attitudes). That and we had a decent WHM for most events but then that WHM quit the game and I was bouncing back and forth haha.

BLM but I love BLM its why I leveled it in the first place.

I hate people who level a job and then say I hate that job, why did you level it then?

Job wasn't bad leveling, but when you're the same job every day you realize that it's actually really boring. I mostly leveled BRD because I knew it was an important job, and I had fun with it. This isn't exactly the case now, but yeah.

WAR usually for me (though I LOOOOOVE WAR so its cool) but even though I have PLD BRD SAM DRK leveled. I'm almost always given the choice of "just come whatever," unless a tank is needed then its PLD, but thats a complete given >.> I only did sky and dynamis (taking a hiatus cause of work schedule) but I've only been asked to come BRD a total of about... 5 times in the last ~6 months I've had it leveled. Even when it comes to merit pts, I usually get to come SAM DRG or WAR to them.

Blm or Rdm whatever is needed at the time

I've never been invited to endgame things except for Dynamis and that's always been BRD cause it's the only 75 job I have. Even leveling SCH, I usually get 'Just come BRD'.

SCH, time and time again. Not that I'm complaining. :3

Whm always freakin whm..well when we do Einherjar I come war alot..but for everything else it's Whm. At first I liked whm, I consider myself to be a good whm with good gear and good merits, but holy crap I am so tired of whm..its a very boring job most of the time. With Drk, War, Sam, Blm, and Rdm lvl'd you would think I could have the chance to come somthing other than dreaded whm..all of my other jobs are well geared (but stupid drk missing homam legs) and 100% merited.

Usually BLM (I don't have on Gman but Striderhiryu is my character too) but I love playing BLM so I don't mind.

Typically I'll be BLM, but that's normally down to being forced to play with bad BLM's. (Like the ones that don't stun, ever. Don't sleep in Dyna, etc)

I go BRD to Dyna-Sandy, but as a new shell.. We're lacking BRD's XD Me + 1 Lv.70 BRD is all we have.

WHM if we're low on healers, though I very very rarely actually go to an event on WHM, normally that's for me playing with friends.


I've been to events once or twice on NIN and SAM, though that was when I just turned up / turned up late.
