Under 2 min from enter. I think they use Shield Bash with +2~3 gauntlets to dispel Souleater? Otherwise they zerg using skeleton as TP battery. 2x BLU curing with White Wind and one is doing Tourbillion for def down.

Other Wind - they're using Reaving Wind to wipe TP.

Good catch. NM still did one TP move close to the end though.

Translation of video because I don't want to work:

---

This is a Reaving Wind shutdown strategy.

The corse has high DEF, so it's important to have ATK buffs and DEF Down.

Table: (Character - Job - Support)

Kaggra - BLU/RDM - Dia II, Reaving Wind, AOE Haste II, Mighty Guard, White Wind
Ruevit - WAR/SAM - Warcry, Tomahawk
Towelman - BLU/WAR - Reaving Wind, Tourbillion, Tenebral Crush, AOE Nat. Meditation, White Wind
Celna - BRD/NIN - Honor March, Minuet x3
Orphelia - COR/DNC - Crooked Chaos, SAM Roll, Light Shot, Boxs Step x1, Haste Samba
Inox - PLD/RUN - Banish, Holy Circl, Shield Bash (Relic Hands +2/+3)

Fight as normal until the adds pop.

The PLD should try not to pull hate until the adds pop.

Find an add targeting the PLD and switch targets.

From here, sub-target WS the boss while sandwiching in Reaving Winds.

Once the boss hits about 50% HP, the PLD should be ready to Shield Bash.

When you see the effect for Blood Weapon go off, bash to dispel Soul Eater.

The boss will also have dispelled status ailments, so apply Dia II and Tenebral Crush.

---

Notes: They mention White Wind but only use it once. After that they just don't take any damage because everything's on the PLD and is constantly getting TP wiped.
The WAR is using Judgement so I guess /SAM is just for Meditate.

Had a quick glance through - boss actions during the fight:
Waterga 3
Quelling Seal (misses everyone)
[adds pop]
Thunderga 3
Holy
Blizzaga 3
Memento Mori

What changes from VD to VE?
Also is the charm move AoE or single target?

How did you survive the doom from the AoE Charm? I guess it doesn't apply doom on lower difficulties then?

Edit:
Aye, no adds and no doom on VE only, but it's there from E upwards.

Completed 12 times across chars on very easy, it will only charm. Never seem it charm twice yet, but it dies so fast with the after charm buffs.

Great month to spam on weak dollar mules or returning players, Smn tank and a bunch of healer longer buff trusts and hit it until charm. After charm you will just ws and kill it solo, don't be alarmed that you no longer have healing, the regen takes care of you, just dd as much as you can.

What gives the corse its DT? just curious. I assumed it was just pets but I noticed he seems to go back to taking lower damage before second set of adds and seems to keep after they die.

Had a run where after second set of adds monk was doing 9-15ks then around like 5% black halo from the blu was doing 55k+.

Does anyone know what triggers the Charm moves?

Maybe Damage dealt over time?

It's just a TP move he can use with his TP, can get lucky and it uses something else or it uses charm.

Only mechanics that change is what version of charm he uses, depending on pets out or no pets.

Can you elavorate a bit more on this please?

We have noticed that the Charm moves can either affect all the pt or just a few persons, and when not all the members are hit, both charm and doom timers are same so cant do anything to heal it.

What triggers which?

pets = skeletons

No skeletons = single charm
Skeletons = area charm

There are two different versions of Charm. One is single target, the other is AoE. It does single target when someone is farther than 10 yalms away. It's supposed to only do the AoE charm when adds/skeletons are summoned.

Wouldn't that mean you only need to wipe it's tp while adds are out?

Standard TP denial. Kill adds. 4 step boss. (rip no godhands, shitty empy).

Got 1 TP move off cause I was slow on 1 cast.

Post from the 10th.

I mean, you don't really need to differentiate specifics of tp denial. No ones really going to only take tp when adds are out.

You still want to cure less.

This, my setup is only rdm on main boss with multi steps, and have had to switch 1 song to scherzo because of Final Retribution.

Got one shotted once by it, thought it was a one off, got one shotted a 2nd time, thought, ok, gonna want scherzo.

I keep shadows up as best I can, but sometimes get greedy with my 5 step instead of just cutting it short to re do shadows.

As far as my tactics go, rdm multi step till adds, bind mega boss, help clear adds, then back to rdm multi steps.

No biggie if rdm gets charmed as long as you don't try to outrun it, just wait for it to wear and use a good holy water set.

Can insert "job name" into the rdm's role in this setup, or if you're happy with more than 1 person getting charmed, multiple DD.

But i'd still recommend a rdm for debuffs on the mega boss.

My biggest issue ends up being that dark cloud absolutely wrecks my accuracy, even when I think I'd have enough to deal with it. But I'm not a mnk expert so maybe my sets are flawed.

You need remedy, eye drops, or a mage to remove it from you. The blind is -200 acc. Could put on way too much accuracy, but it's much easier to just remove the blind.

No, I know - but maybe I'm just unlucky - I would frequently pop eye drops/remedies and see the icon blink back on immediately because those *** adds are just going back to back on that move. It's just irritating that I couldn't outgear the deficit I guess.
