why do people insist on Corsair's Roll in Reisenjima for Gain? Do y'all not know how gain-exp works?

1. get 5k exp, earn the RoE.
2. RoE resets, requiring a CLEAN 5k exp once again.

EXP overflow is not a help here, its wasted EXP. If you score 6500 exp on a kill, the next kill you STILL NEED 5k EXP!

In reisenjima, if you've finished all your RoV,etc to boost up base exp values and have enough gifts, you'll get over 5k exp on a kill without Corsair's Roll probably on chain #2 or chain #3, and it will stay above 5k/exp per kill after that. If you're using Corsair's Roll, you're gimping your damage and thus your killspeed without any gain of the speed you'll clear the RoE.

Just answered your own question.

Beyond 6 people in Reisen, XP per kill dips below 5k a kill. Corsair's Roll will let you go up to 9 people in Reisen if a COR is in both parties. More people per group, less competitive groups per area. Everyone wins.

I use Corsair's Roll and Wizard's Roll. Our BLU 1shots every pull, there's really no "gimping damage" by using it.

See there's a good reason to actually use it I can get behind. But I've done runs w/ 6 ppl just fine w/o corsair's roll, defaulting to either chaos/sam or wizard/sam for faster killspeed, and without a doubt always capped sparks faster than getting rid of one of those rolls for corsair's. But the idea of using one camp for two parties to allow more ppl to be max efficient, well done, and ty.

I'm sure it must be chaos on servers like Asura, but over here if we're <9 and see someone soloing in the same camp as us, we just ask them to join up instead of having to compete with each other. Even if they'd just be leeching, it's less competition for all of us and we all walk away with more gil.

What I hate during GE is seeing every camp being taken by single person parties with their trusts. We'd have less issues if people just grouped up instead.

Oh noes, the super elite linkshell won't let me DD every event! Ever notice how the really successful, long standing shells on your server have people who can fill multiple roles? It's called avoiding burnout. When there is essentially 1 1/2 endgame events left in the game, the only way you keep people interested is by having them play multiple roles. Otherwise, your bards, white mages, and geos get real sick of ***real fast, and all of a sudden you have a shell with a bunch of DDs, CORs, and Tanks.

I'm as guilty of this as anyone, and should take my bard more seriously. But at the end of the day, people need to rotate for their own sanity and the shells livelihood.

And one question related to the original post- so what's your solution? All items in game only sold thru npcs? I'll give you a solution. Farm your own mats, contract a crafter. Learn about expected hq rates so you bring enough attempts. Make friends by creating a dynamis shell to farm medals that can be exchanged for mats. Interestingly enough the most expensive medals come from wave 1... damn near any group can farm wave 1. Get that group better, then start farming wave 2. And so on.

We are talking about different things lol. I'm talking about progresion/hardest content, not general endgame/farming runs.

People generally avoid burn out on a job by playing lesser geared jobs in none progression content like omen farming, ambu VD or dyna D RP farm. In that case anyone can come any job as long as essential roles are covered.

If you organize pt that way for progression/1st clear/hardest content that way though, the risk of failing a run and waste everyones time will be way too high. Worst case people will leave if pt fail too many times with no progress.

Since people mentioned "endgame ls recruiting" and community expectations, my understanding is that they aren't recruit for omen nor dyna D RP farms(which nobody cares about jobs at all), but recruit for progression. In that case, it's certainly more beneficial to recruit specialists that excel at one role, rather than generalists that's mediocre at all 4 roles, imo.

Can SE be held liable legally for breaches in any of their ToS by customers?
Like say: speed hacking, pos hacking, botting, or RMT.
Almost definitely no for the first three mentioned.
Very likely a yes on the last one however.
I think this is why we see numbers but not action; most don't actually see those caught for RMT; we only see other players who like to cheat and automate.

I actually wasn't replying to you Afainia. I was replying to our original poster complaining that his/her job wasn't accepted in ambuscade runs because it wasn't "meta" for it. And I find that close-mindedness offensive. This isn't 2006 where it took 9 months of 4hrs/day to 75 and merit one job. The examples of times to use a less than perfect job that you give are exactly the moments I see job rotating to be great. Yeah, when you're going for that wave3 clear, you want your best people on their best job, but the other moments (wave1/wave2 farming, omen, etc) are great times to knock the dust off that old favorite or take the time to learn a new job with less pressure.

having a cor also means you have at least a second person that can take care of NM pops and their stone drops add to the profit a bit. they can also kill singles inbetween longer pulls to keep the chain up or support in other ways.
and even if corsair roll only helps you past the 5k exp mark for the first 3 kills that still makes a difference cause if you solo chances are your chain breaks more frequently.

I solo gain on COR. don't have to talk to me about the benefits of bringing a COR. I'm just talking about using that COR to its max benefit, not merely as a perma-EXP ring.

edit: and if you're not using mollifiers, again, you're doing it wrong.

Being a solo player is without doubt, the slowest path to anything. MAKE. FRIENDS.

if you have standards thats easier said than done. people who don't cheat are usually newbees/returners so they won't get you anywhere in terms of content/gear progression.
those who are ready for endgame are either down for the shady tools or are perfectly fine to leech of people who use them (which is not much better).

the decent people quit long ago. there wasn't everything dandy back in the day but in most shells you'd get looked down on and called out for your BS if anyone cought you cheating, now its the other way around.

Could it be the issue you are having with getting friends in a multiplayer games is how you respond to people?
This thread has clearly shown how quickly you are offended by ppl trying to give you advice and how you declare your self better knowing than anybody else, and don't want to listen to anybody else.

You keep yourself in that denial and blame everybody else for being wrong, because it can't impossible be that you can improve in a game that all about improving.

I have helped plenty of new and returning ppl in my shell.
the people I have avoided to help is people with your attitude and/or entitlement to get help.

Here, I'll help you out.

1. They said GE was 10-12m "per character", not solo with trusts. That's your own interpretation. I run 1 character only and group up with friends.
2. You still can't fathom people pull that in on average, meaning it's the consistent result, but okay. One guy claimed that number, 4-5 others backed him up saying those are their own results as well.
3. Everyone better than you must be cheating lol.

I’ll never understand people like that “they’re doing better then me must be cheating!” Must be a lonely world for them. My saying is you do you boo ignore the negatives around you(bots, negative players etc.)Once you do that plus focus on yourself and your goals you can achieve anything especially in a mmorpg like 11.

i think its a communication problem.if someone could provide a chart for the code you guys use around here we could prevent those pagelong arguments from happening in the future.

sofar i figured (pls correct me if wrong):
- solo = multibox or party of 6
- average = perfect conditions every time
- git gud = use bots to handle the npcing, maybe project taco for faster pulls?
Here, I'll help you out.

1. They said GE was 10-12m "per character", not solo with trusts. That's your own interpretation. I run 1 character only and group up with friends.
2. You still can't fathom people pull that in on average, meaning it's the consistent result, but okay. One guy claimed that number, 4-5 others backed him up saying those are their own results as well.
3. Everyone better than you must be cheating lol.

10-12M per char is pretty darn impressive. I'm guessing this is the entire window which is what 3 hours? so around 4M/hour just killing stuff and warping back buying/trading shields and rinse and repeat? I've never actually tried it hardcore, maybe a couple times with friends or solo semi afk with trusts. I figured I'd be able to do it around twice per hour, which is about half as fast as you guys. Granted this was 1.5 years ago since I've done this and didnt think it was all that great, but at double the return, maybe I should reevaluate.

Are you doing this in escha zitha? I can kill all the things on blu np but pulling the zone becomes a problem. I've often helped people out capping merits for HTBC fights killing sharks in escha sky because it's easy, and having a pld pull a ton of mobs in reisen works too, but not sure what I can do solo or with a couple mules to reach the numbers you're talking about.

Entire window, 4 hours. I don’t bother with trading accs for powders, I just buy gobbiekeys and play the lottery at the end of the run. 10-12m is purely from buying and selling shields.

This is my Reisen yield. It’s also possible in Zitah so long as you’re not more than 4 people without a COR, XP takes a huge hit there after 4.
