The hitbox for damage is but if you want a oneshot you had best be dead on!

And err you will have fun in the crazy private matches I do with a load of people from BG and other places :O I sometimes like running around wildly with Marathon SPAS and just blasting people :D

Also requires the most skill to use. It's like calling someone a noob for using, well, throwing knives.

Plus, Undermounted shotgun attachment has at least twice the range of SPAS-12.

I wish they did implement cross-console capability :( there are issues like J-Tag Xboxes and stuff so maybe restrict it to certain lobbies (or maybe IW should FIX THEIR DAMN GAME) but yah. Would be good!

Quickscope using Intervention still makes me "=]" though.
However SPAS is a big problem at mid-range fight.

but then Raen said it's my own fault for letting the dude come mid-range anyays!

I'm afraid so! And yes, Intervention is a beast of a gun and still my favourite one to use (though hitmarkers make me RAEG).

Ways to control SPAS at midrange:

1. Hide behind cover so not all of the shells hit you (should try to fight around cover anyway)
2. Move laterally as their shot has to be pretty much dead on to oneshot and if you have a decent midrange weapon yourself they're probably dead if they fail the first.
3. Move backwards while firing

The only thing is that with guns that are technically worse, it's more impressive when someone's good with it. Like someone who's actually good at FAL legitimately without a turbo controller or something.

That's funny, I'm completely an M21 kind of player. People say it's a noob gun, but I don't see what's so noob about it. It's just better.

In my mind, noob gun = gun that requires no skill but will never get you to the top of the ranks in a game. Grenade Launcher, RPG, and AA-12 come to mind. AA-12 is the only gun I can't stand.

I use Intervention cause it "feels" right to me. Guns I click with more naturally I will generally always use better than superior guns which I don't get on with as well. I've put so much practice into Intervention as well that I just do so much better with it.

People say it's noob cause you can spam it but I don't really think that's a legitimate complaint since that will make you wildly unsuccessful with it. I've tried it a few times and I just can't get into it :(

AA-12 appears nooby because of its spamming nature (and it is an obnoxious gun to die by) but speaking critically I don't think it is. It has the shortest range of any SHOTGUN and so requires you to almost be right on top of your enemy - do they not deserve to die then anyway?

That said I may be somewhat biased since I have it on two of my loadouts.

My friend was a monster with the AA-12. I know it's an easy gun, but this guy was ridiculous with it, lol.

This is what I was thinking. Intervention really feels a lot more satisfying when you use it compared to anything else. The shoot sound effect is like the epitome of "BOOM HEADSHOT", or something.

Though you should hop into Spec-Ops and use it on that one Predator mission, near Burger Town. The campaign sound effect is even more awesome-sounding.
