Democrats skip another opportunity to negotiate their own shutdown. As if we didn’t know they’d rather perpetuate the crisis at the border than address it.
In real news, Trump tried a new political stunt and attempted to invite some Dems that just won districts he used to be popular in, to try to open a divide within their party. Reading some articles out there about how some of the freshmen were frustrated with the Trump shutdown, I guess he saw an opportunity to peel them away and support his stupid wall. One problem, being frustrated with his shutdown doesn't even come close to meaning they support a stupid border wall. The Dems did the right thing and declined the invite. Pure publicity.

I think they should offer him the opportunity to resign before they censor him, even though he doesn't really deserve that dignity. I'm betting a certain someone on this site will try to defend him tho. And the Non-Sequitur of the Day award goes to Chanti. Vic thinks immunizating himself from his own standard somehow helps his case.
LMAO Pretty sad. Uhhh...no idea what nausi is going on about now.

The EU knows her position is precarious and they will capitalize. If she doesn't survive the vote then she has to legally call a general election before resigning. I'm still not sold on Jeremy Corbyn though, not sure what he could do any better. Corbyn is to the left of Bernie Sanders though, and there's something about him I just can't trust. Offline

Asura.Saevel said: » And aren't you living in New Zealand? Didn't know NZ was part of the EU, wait it's not. Holy ***how can you survive being in the post apocalyptic nightmare that is not living in a EU member state? How can NZ possibly survive without that unified market and Brussels enforced trade laws? Don't you have to stand in food lines for hours? Tell us the utter horror of not being in the EU, we can make a Lifetime movie about it. NZ was actually cut off from a trading bloc when the UK abandoned it to join the EEC. The difference is that NZ had other trade arrangements in place that were not determined by association with a custom's union. If the UK leaves the EU with no access to the single market every single one of it's existing trade agreements, within and beyond the continent, are rendered null-and-void as it is no longer part of the custom's union. The UK will literally be the only country in the world to suddenly have no trade agreements with anyone if it has no exit agreement with the EU. It will be the only country in the world to trade solely on WTO rules, which no other nation does for a good reason. |
