Yeah it's affected by MaB, i switched also my earring for Moldavite, and damage got 10~20 dmg higher. (was still using /rdm and MM atma).
Tried Snow gorget, did nothing.

Blade Yu over all is a decent WS, when it comes to fights that lasts for more than a minute. People seem to forget the additional dmg from poison and just look at the initial dmg.

Yeah it is, on abyssea atleast, out of abyssea never saw it nice. probably because of stat boost.

At 300TP from wiki, it say about 900+ dmg from poison.

If someone got the water Obi (Suirin Obi), i'd like to know if it work with.

I'm guessing when we got Blade: Yu, SE was thinking NIN needed a more powerful amber WS for Abyssea, because...well, Blade: Ei's kinda lame, heh. Useless tidbit: En-spells are affected by Innin.

Counter rate with Iga Hakama +2 is the same, but I do know when I got Iga Hakama +2 I got Gnarled Horn at the same time, if you like putting that on that's probably a good reason you'll counter a lot more. I'd say RR + GH is the best NIN combo right now, but I'm not sure how good it is for Jin, haven't used it for a while now, heh.

Finally got my iga hakama +1 last seal from Athamas yesterday. While abyssea got me into working out soloing/duoing strategies for NMs most of my ff time, I started writing down some of them recently and made it into a blog to share the strategy. Bit late since a lot of people seem to have legs+1 already or +2 but maybe one or another finds it useful. Having finished nin legs and therefore athamas now (and hopefully forever) I wrote an article about how to solo athamas in detail there earlier today, thought that would fit in here since this thread is athamas nin solo.

set adds an additional attack round onto each hand, doesn't seem to stack with double attack, acts more like occ. atk. twice.

Yeah they help a lot. An EVA setup isn't an EVA setup without them.

Well that was a waste of a pop set.

I probably managed to get the only BLU in game that would ask "what's physical spells?"

If you are doing 2 eva katanas you can double up on about half of the trials if you do it right too (ie: 200 vermin + 200 diremites) so its deffinetly one of the easyer ones to do 2 of.

not that doing vermin that aren't diremites in wind weather is particularly hard, either.

When you reach the diremite stage, go to aydeewa subterrane during ingame summer months. I watched two year cycles and noticed both times after summertime has passed I got 3 sunny days any time I checked in autumn (except one time a chance of wind for one day) and loads of foggy weather but no wind either in winter. dunno about spring. it saves a great deal of time being able to complete the trial in a few hours instead of camping windsday for subsequent days getting the 200 kills in bits of 24 at most per windsday. even more when doing two katanas. rest is easy, grauberg has loads of wind weather

@zanno
wow you were lucky, Im like 0/10+ on the tier 1 VNM >_>

4 manned Ketea today, 3/6 on Iga feet +2 :3

THF came in at 5% to tag it, proc'd grellow bard was dual box'd.

setup; WHM/SCH without stoneskin on with sublimation up always incase of being slept, BLM/RDM for when its mouth was open and grav when ***hit the fan, BRD for 2x march

had 0 issues with my mediocre enfeebling set landing Hojo Jubaku Aishi Yurin and Kurayami on it, died once cause it triple attack'd then used a gay TP move that took me down, HP'd and ran back BLM just grav'd and kited it around while I ran back

Danzo Sune-ate are a god sent for this fight when it comes to getting away fast during Rapid Molt

@ Ragnarok.Zanno

No with rng it is best to just have at least 2 stacks (12 quivers) on me at all times, but that is just me being safe i guess.

You can do both just make sure you have one katana one trial ahead of the other one. it is a little easier that way.

I had to share the weekend I had. Last night LS did Pulverizer, Carabosse, Cire-Coin(or w.e) Sobek and Briareus. I got a lucky lot on Kamome and took my nin from Menh to Holy Hell Razed Ruins + Stout Arm + Kamome = 2300 Blade Jin! God its a great time to be a Nin!

Now to run it back with a bump.

Iga Mimikazari (NIN AF3 JSE) can be also solo'd from the Refitted Chariot NIN/DNC or NIN/WHM too easy within 20-30 mins. Recommend that you bring a THF however for it to actually drop outside of blue proccing. 0/2 personally now. Off to do one more before bed!
