there's a book that discusses an actual lightsabre. the theory is plasma contained in a magnetic field. and also, that it could be built today... however the 'hilt' would be very large. like huge large.
but yeah this laser thing looks way too dangerous. i was reading the safety guide... it says don't aim it at airplanes because it could blind the pilot? that's extremely powerful and scary. not sure if these should be sold for any amount of money.

I had friends that used to take laser from like disk players and hook them up to more powerful sources of power. Use to pop balloons with it

for those that don't have the money to shell out for the lightsaber one you can always get an economical lazer, you guys can try deal extreme...don't think anything is up in the wattage but the first item is 200mw.

There are lots of things that are 'powerful and scary' but still allowed. Even if they didn't make them there's nothing to stop someone from just buying the projector itself the laser is made from.

You know it is only a matter of time before this item get's banned or taken off the market. I would never really kill a dog over that, just kick the ***out of it's master though. I told my neighbor next time his dog craps in my yard I am going to rub his face in it!!

Well if it can be used as a weapon it should be treated as one. I had to resister for my guns and apply for the licenses to carry them.

Yes, and no. How far away do you have to be from something with this laser to set it on fire, or to accidentally blind someone? It's the accidents that are possible with this sort of thing that makes it so dangerous.

The fact it can evidently blind and burn people from even just the incidental light reflected off surfaces, seems like it might be too dangerous to even really use around other people at all.
