Finally something came out of my fingers about my monk and her shining Spharai. Thanks a lot to my ls for this, more special super mega giga ultra thanks to my Bro and Little Taru .w. Never expected my monk to go so far when i started punch mandies in saruta, never expected live a such great human and brainless adventure when i bought FFXI, but those relic make me look at my first step in game, and i have no regret of the time i pased online doing brainless things huzzah. 9 years, 5 retirements and 3 attempts to build, I've finally accomplished my ultimate goal in ffxi! There are many thanks to be said throughout the years, and while the importance of this has lost it's luster for it's now a dime-a-dozen achievement, I consider this more of a sentimental trophy dedicated for the many who have come and gone on this long journey of mine. Let us first summarize and give thanks to Dienamis linkshell, my first Dynamis LS who got the Attestation of Vigor and Necropsyche for me back in 2005. I would also like to thank Grand Design for helping me obtain the Tenebrous Fragment in 2009. Ultimately, there are too many people to name but this relic was built and is not solely mine for it's entirety also belongs to one of if not my best in-game / become RL brother, Seshu. Since the Dynamis Updates in 2010, we have gone inside farming currency for me and though we retired in Feb 2012, we came back 9 months later and put in 2 months more of work to finish HIS and MY relic. Again, my heart and gratitude go out to all who have been there for me during this journey and though I may not specify each one, you know who you all are! Much love and yes, I troll'd and muled back my 75 gear just for the screenshot! And to Quartett, Poring, Vivivivi for committing to the headhunting in bazaars and making an effort to sell to me after you came up on some Alexandrites. Thanks also to Milich, Symulence, Rolliefingaz, Darktemplar and Daywalker who also were able to donate Alexandrites to this really really long quest. There's no way I could have done this without you guys. Also special mention to Fiorela for being very generous to donate 42 on my last stretch, Blackcloud for helping out in Nyzul, Arylias, Nyobi, Longarm, Cloudxz, Darthjohnboy and Kyler for finding Alexandrites when I was first starting out and 30,000 was the massive task at hand. And thanks to Kainstryder for saving me Ichor by spotting me for Odin entry items. And finally thanks to Reiyn and Jyakotsu for leaving your characters in my care. It was a massive load off my shoulders to have the freedom to re-do the mundane Assaults without having to bother people to waste tags when Nyzul Uncharted was the hot event. As Relics were made easier to obtain, I eschewed Monk despite it being my main thanks to acquiring Verethragna. The years passed, I worked hard to get other items, but Monk remained my primary job. With the end of Vana'diel coming, I decided that I could not leave without getting this task accomplished, even though Relics really aren't worth much these days. Story time! Way back when I returned to FFXI in 2006 or 2007, I came back solely to level Monk to 75. Since the viability of Trust-soloing third-wave Arciela on SCH came up, I actually had an opportunity to test it out and I can say for certain it's entirely possible. Cast helices based on the day into Ascension or Descension, not against them and use NPC's that complement you tanking as opposed to an NPC tank. She has not one single physical source of damage, so she cannot hurt you if you keep Regen on. It didn’t take very long for August to bite the dust. Screenshot taken from behind so that you can see she has no bonnet and is in fact the Arcliela that may come in the third wave. As for her choice of Naakuals, I got Kumhau twice, and one of Colkhab and Yumcax, which explains why my NPC's are all dead.
