Is soloing Megatarium on DNC even possible? It lays upon you Amnesia, Paralyze, and Doom, and it's accuracy is pretty high.
If you can, or know anyone who did, I'd love to know the strat. I already own the pants, but I just wanna know.

I've heard the opposite. I heard an evasion tank (dnc or thf or nin) is better than a tank tank for that NM. If you bring holy waters and have more than one merit in fan dance...I don't see why it isn't possible... just really hard. If you look at his other solos... I think he's capable.

You have like permanent amnesia effect though, spams that horribad.

If you look at richi's merits, you can see that he has level 4 fan dance. So every 3:30 seconds he has -90% pdt(that degrades I know). So if he keeps shadows up and he has level 5 weakened daze so that violent flourish sticks so he can recast shadows easier when he isn't amnesia'd, his -pdt degradation isn't that bad afterall and makes it every 3:30mins. In an evasion set-up for dnc... you can get 306 evasion easily. I'd say... for anyone know who knows how to play dnc well and has the merits he has, they'd be able to do it. I wouldn't be able to do it because I get fan dance every 5 mins...

the tiger has terrible acc, can already duo with rdm, cor, or brd, spamming paralyna of course. The problem is at lower hp% he starts triple attacking like crazy so even if you have capped evasion the odds of him hitting 4 times quickly are pretty high =/ don't think I'll be able to solo ;; This nm is actually EASIER with more people because if it is getting enough TP it will spam paralyzega/amnesiaga.

For Khalamari you can use ascetics drinks to increase not only acc on violent flourish but dramatically increase stun duration. Violent flourish really isn't needed until lower hp when he starts double attacking like crazy, and even then you can do it without.

I want to try cactrot rapido by gaining tp with only steps and only attacking with WS, full fandance should make 10k needles only do 1k which I should be able to live through( with 100 hp <.<) I don't know how his acc yet is yet though.

Ix'drk I've done just need to get rid of the two pets.

I want to start trying to tank bigger stuff on DNC holding hate through damage, getting tp through steps and using WS to hold hate. Only problem is I'd need building flourish for it to be effective so I have to figure out how to factor it in.

If you do Tiger it'd be interesting. Rapido's 10k needles might suck if it uses it in succession before you heal.

90% of 10,000 is 1000, as long as I only let it use TP moves when I have full fan dance I'll survive. I also don't want to sound pompus or anything this is just something I really want to try^^; I figure I can get tp without giving tp through steps, the new Presto update makes this even easier, although it wasn't impossible without it.

Edit: If I got the evasion major+ resist paralyze(or is it amnesia) atma I imagine I could do the tiger easily.

I would think DNC/NIN should be able to solo Rapido with relative ease.

If Fan Dance did work to reduce 10,000 Needle's DMG down to 1,000 you should be able to do it almost no trouble at all. When I made my solo video on NIN/DNC It was at 75 and I didn't even have Boxer's mantle yet. Now when I kill it I just take /WAR haven't got hit once in the past 5 kills. However, Paralize REALLY kills this NM... Jubaku will proc almost every other hit which may make it a little bit harder to keep shadows up for a Dancer, but I doubt it.

If Fan Dance doesn't reduce the DMG down you could always just bring a couple pair of powder boots. After maybe 8 or 9 WSs start to Melee then run with flee up.

These aren't exactly omgwtfbbq solos, mostly just stating them so DNCs know it's possible.

The t1 + t2 VNMs in Abyssea - Attohwa are easily soloable by DNC, and accidentally found out DNC can solo Aggressor Antlion too, but it can get messy if you're half-assing it.

It's always been one of the better solo jobs...

my main solo jobs are bst smn and sch also mnk. wouldnt mind taking dnc and pup all way for solo just no motivation (or invo) for levbeling

if you'd like to try it, see if you can get "atma of the cloak and dagger" for obvious reasons and "Atma of the Impregnable Tower" for the hp boost and far better stun rates.
