Now killing a bunch of Mandies in The Boyahda Tree for couple mins then looking for next place.
I haven't done the questline yet, but going by the quoted quest text a page before, he mentions talking to someone about cardians. Maybe try talking to the NPCs first where they make cardians in port windurst, or the head of that ministry (Its zonpa right? its been too long)

Killed Tom *** Tat, no unusual drop.
Killed stuff in Fort Karugo-Narugo (S), Yagudos in Castle Oztroja (S).
Killed the higher lvl mobs in Inner Horutoto.
Also popped Custom Cardian from "An Errand! The Professor's Price"

Yesterday i checked AH, it seems they didnt introduçe the item in the current category (at least the one it seems like related).

Looking at flowers, the Dream Flower ability isn't used by Lycopodiums. The other sub-families of Mandragora that have flowers are the Pachypodium and Adenium.
Killed Gancanagh once and will go for Chloris next.
How about Monster Rearing?? A longer process, but I've started the Mandys off.

And the cardian, possible the one thats sealed inside the tower, suposelly joker.
Next part of the Chapter is called: "The Cardian's Duty" Which means that something about a Cardian yes.

The cardian has a lot of battle animations, it could be a fight maybe.
The NPC's used the word "spades" at some point. I thought it might be a hint regarding the Cardians. I just discovered that each zone in the city is exclusive to a suit. Wood's is spades. Talked to all the cardians in Woods and got nothing. Likely a dead end but thought I would mention it.
