New AMAN item. Can get from AMAN, Gobbie box or buy from bazaar/ah.

EDIT: possibly maybe from nyzul isle campaign too in future, since O. sash and E. ring (aman items too) can be found there too.

I feel like this question relates to bst.

Does anyone know which of the Ody T3 V15+ NMs Bst's Slime pet can land the HP Down on? Or, which ones it can't land on?

Iirc, it can land on all of em but easier on some than others. On Ngai only when aura is up. Lands easiest on Kalunga (water <-> fire).

Anyone have a link to the current BST spreadsheet or know what the best mainhand/offhand/WS is best for DPS (sans kraken club)? I see a lot of mentions of Pangu path B or Mythic and the TP bonus offhand using mistral axe.

Using HurlerPercival as an example (iLvl 119 MaxHP 4988), when summoned by a Master Level 30 BST
the beetle pet will receive a modified MaxHP boost (MaxHP-20%) equal to:
210 × 0.8 = 168

Using Healing Salve I to recover half of your pet's total HP, we can figure out if this is accurate.

2578 × 2 = 5156
5156 - 4988 = 168

Heya super noob beastmaster, trying to get into the swing of things by using gear shared from other jobs, I'm trying to understand when to use phys/mag ready sets. For example debuffs like fatsofargann tp drainkiss would that use the magical ready set?

I ask cause the set has a lot of MAB and not sure if that applies? Sorry if it's obvious, complete idiot on bst things and my ody static asked if we could try bst, so trying to learn it

thanks!

should have a general nuke set and a macc set, can take it a step further with macc tiers but in general you want to seperate those 2 at least to ensure you land whatever it is i.e additonal effects on some ready moves. Drainkiss is all tp bonus and macc

Offhand weapon still generally adds more value than anything from a non-DW subjob. Aside from faster TP gain when dual wielding, you're giving up a lot of stats from whatever weapon you might have in that offhand. For instance, Agwu's Axe and its Acc+40~50, Atk+30~70, STP+10, WSD+5%, AND pet stats (dmg+10, attributes+20 acc/racc/macc +50). That's a pretty big sacrifice for /DRG WS dmg trait & jumps, WAR DA/Berserk, or whatever other sub...

When you have no choice but to go without an offhand weapon (i.e., Sheol Gaol with no subjob):
* If you want some extra defense: Sacro > Adapa
* If you prefer some extra offense: one of the augmented Unity shields (Evalach +1, Deliverance +1, Forfend +1) for primarily more accuracy, or lately I sometimes toss on Tatami Shield for STR+5 and enhanced Killer Effect (+2% intimidation rate).

It's pretty ridiculous that the job with the second best Fencer trait doesn't get Blurred Shield +1, and if BST did get on that it really could impact some subjob selections, but that's how it goes...

Percentage increases (like Beast Roll, Guttler Aftermath, Vorseals, etc) stack additively with the pet's natural attack adjustment value.

[BaseAtk + GearAtk + GiftAtk] × [AtkAdj + Beast Roll + Guttler AM + Vorseals + SheepRage]

Guttler Aftermath Post:
Foods with Pet-related stats (like Grape Daifuku) are calculated after everything else.

Strongly, strongly recommend this approach! If you haven't used it already, it only takes 70 points (can get 40 points per month) to get a full set of 5/5 ilevel 109 AF armor for any job. So, if you start right now from zero you could have 70 points in just a couple days (40 between now and update, 40 more will become available after the upcoming update early this week).

After that, every 40 points (1 month of 4/4 RoEs) is another individual piece of higher level AF armor, starting at 130 deeds for AF119 (reforge +1) feet and through 119 AF+2 at 470 deeds. That's followed by Relic sets (again, 5/5 109, then individual pieces for level 119 +1 and +2).

**EDIT: If you aren't familiar, the monthly RoE for deeds are generally very easy for any player with modern gear, though some do take a few days to finish. For example, open Gobbiebox 3 times (1 per day unless you have Sp. Keys to use), harvest anything from mog house gardening, pick up items from your Mog Garden beach, etc.

Current (April to early May) month has two that are very easy to solo in a few minutes:
(1) High tier Fenrir battle (any difficulty), and
(2) Complete any Adoulin coalition assignment.
(3) Obtain 3 Mog Garden items is also very easy, but can only get 1 per day.
(4) is getting plasm in Delve, which isn't hard but does need 3 players to enter Delve (alternately, you can get points by using Delve shard/bead items; e.g., Celadon Yggrete Shards, Celadon Yggzi Beads - but that costs some gil for the higher value ones).

1. Can I solo ambuscade? I tried with BST on easy and got destroyed quick.
2. Is domain invasion different than ambuscade? I can't seem to get the key item to start DI. Can I solo that also with 99BST?

1. You can solo even Very Difficult solo, but you need specific jobs for it (usually RDM or SCH). Normal is usually a limit for wider range of jobs and sometimes its Easy. Like most solo tho, this is very equip and skill dependent. One RDM can solo VD, other will die on Easy.

2. You can with easy, but it's also a little gear dependent. Not nearly as much as Ambuscade tho and you can buy (for domain invasion points) cheap set with HUGE boosts only for Domain Invasion.

Yes, Domain Invasion is different. It's a worldwide simultaneous cooperative event where large Wyrms pop in the Escha/Reisenjima zones (wave 1 = small weak enemies, wave 2 = the Wyrm itself). Everyone on the server can contribute to kill the Wyrm, nobody can claim it for themselves - it's comparable to older server-wide events such as Beseiged, or Campaign battles from WotG. Even if you aren't as strong as other players there, you can get full credit by participating solo.

Once a DI Wyrm is defeated (or times out?) a short timer begins and the Wyrm in the next zone will pop. They constantly cycle between the three zones:
Escha-Zitah (Azi Dahaka)
Escha-Ru'Aun (Naja Raga)
Reisenjima (Quetzecoatl)

Fairly infrequently, a super-wyrm called Mireu can spawn. That one is much harder to kill, and if the server succeeds everyone is rewarded with a higher daily DI point cap (increasing to 100 points, over the standard 80 points you can obtain per day)

You need a key item (called Elvorseal) from the NPC at the entrance to each of those zones to participate in the fight. If you can't acquire the KI, a couple possible reasons:
1) I think you need some progress in the Rhapsodies of Vana'diel storyline to gain access the KI (somewhere in Chapter 2, I believe).

2) The Elvorseal KI is a temporary item that is only able to be acquired for the 10 minutes or so before the Domain Invasion monsters pop in that zone. You can't just grab the Escha-Zitah one at any time and use it later, can only get it when you're in Escha-Zitah and the DI monster is about to pop. The same NPC that give you the item will also warp you directly to the location of the DI fight in that zone. Once the Wyrm boss is defeated, the KI disappears even if you didn't go to the fight.

Your Unity leader will give messages in Unity chat of an impending DI fight (10min before spawn) and once it arrives.

Especially as a newer returning player, it's absolutely worth doing DI solo to get your daily max of points (80 or 100, depending on whether Mireu has been defeated recently). There are some solid items that can be purchased with DI points, from the NPC Zurim in Norg. A lot of these are items from Escha-Ru'Aun (like abjurations, and job-specific weapons) or Reisenjima (armor/weapons) which can also be obtained by fighting the NMs in those zones, but it's often easier to get DI points solo and just buy them for the relatively low DI point cost from Zurim. There are also some DI-only items, some of which are very useful; for example, Thrud Earring is a staple WS piece for several jobs including BST, there is a series of all jobs skill+10 earrings, etc. See list at this page.

metallic body is only ~198 HP, no where near invincible. And buffs do not affect party members.

Not that it makes a huge difference, but this Stoneskin amount might vary based on Pet:MND? I've seen as low as 188 and as high as 215 with iLvl119 HeraldHenry + Familiar Job Points.

phunky said: »
I was just messing around on apex mobs and had metallic body up fulltime without any issue. I run full malignance gear and moonlight rings in my TP set so maybe thats why metallic body was lasting so long.
Phunky knew what was up, from as far back as early 2020.
Metallic Body Potency = 100/1024 (9.75%) of MaxHP

BST's
MaxHP
Stoneskin
Amount
2005195
2160210
2906283
3105303
4021392
4126402

The Crab Pet's MaxHP similarly affects the potency of Stoneskin it receives.
JovialEdwin (MaxHP-5% Modifier) gains 200 HP from Master Level 30.

Jovial Level 119 MaxHP = 5924 + 200 = 6124
Jovial Level 119 MaxHP w/Familiar = 6736

Using the above formula for Metallic Body potency (MaxHP x 100/1024), we get the following for level 119 JovialEdwin:
Pet's
MaxHP
Stoneskin
Amount
6124598
6736657

Normal Needles Damage amounts with only Stout Servant III (DMG-9%):

Damage received with Metallic Body active:

Metallic Body Potency = Normal 4000 Needles DMG - Metallic Body 4000 Needles DMG = 1820 - 1222 = 598

Then with Familiar and Metallic Body active:

Familiar Metallic Body Potency = 910 - 253 = 657
Familiar Metallic Body Potency = 1820 - 1163 = 657
What does the best HP+ gearset look like for BST?
