I tried to solo Sovereign Behemoth on DNC/SAM with trusts and I got him down to 10% before I timed out. Basically a DPS check without any form of Dispel. With 2 more minutes and/or 2hours I think I could have done it.
Terpischore R15, master needed for extra FMs. Popped Voidwatch Pil to get AM3 and 3k TP, then walked out of Voidwatch to spawn behemoth.
Trusts were Koru-Moru, Apururu, Qultada, Ulmia, and Joachim. Level cap quest for trusts probably required.
Fan Dance whole time. No 2hours used (but might help?).
No procs needed/used. (None of my SCs ever procced him... you might have to do it during Meteor casting, but extremely unsafe as you want to be in DT AS METEOR HITS)
The gimmick with this guy is that he gains super resistance to Darkness after a few SCs. So go in, stay to his side/behind, do climactic double dark which should bring him down a lot (~35-50%?). At this point your skillchains will do very little damage. Pyrrhic spam until Climactic is up again, then repeat. After this, your SCs will do extremely little damage, so don't bother. When he readies Meteor, make sure your trusts/yourself are topped off. They will survive with ~50-90 HP. Have Divine Waltz II ready to get your trusts to safety. Apururu will cap them off, just focus on yourself after that.
His general DT seems to increase over time too, so your WSes will do very little as the fight goes on. This is where the DPS check comes in basically. (less than 1% per WS or so)
The dark resistance only resets by proccing him (which didn't work for me) or making him use Howl by standing in front of him... but this buffs his Meteors (which WILL kill your trusts) and increases his evasion which *** you over. Something I might try is getting him down to 25% normally, then trigger Howl, and then try double climactic dark again. THis must kill or else you will die.
Interestingly, the hardest part of this fight isn't Meteor, it's en-stun. If he accidentally stuns any of your climactic Rudras, your run is pretty ***. The stun can also proc before/after Meteor which is instalose too. It's effectively random run-enders unless you keep shadows up the whole time, idk.
Gonna try for full clear after I get accolades tomorrow. Has anybody tried this on DNC?

This behe is the worst possible target for DPS check. Because of gimmick you mention. Also I think 1hr would help greatly, because you could just zerg it with 6 climactic Rudra, or at least get him to really low HP.

try /RUN
/run sub gives tenacity trait and inquarta II
use earth runes, pop pflug and swordplay.
Its your best option to avoid+resist the enstuns.
havent done the fight pure solo but have killed melee style with a sam and dnc subbing /run and its the best subjob option for the problematic enstun in my opinion.
for your tp set try to use turm mittens, the wont work while youre stunned, but can give some extra parry healing when not stunned to save your life.

+1 that. Since you wasnt soloing (so probably you ahd whm for that), you forgot to add, that /RUN also let you cast barthunder.

I really enjoyed watching a bunch of those :) inspired me to try some of these!
----
Terp question: I believe based on what I've read here and there that Sari is the best off-hand outside of Twash, does that still hold up? Or is something like Polyhmnia better with the STP build most people do for Terp?

I stuck with poly until I finished my twash, since SR seems to hate me.

I like Sari more, it has triple attack which is nice for PK, and the wsd on Poly doesn't help PK at all (tho you will be using Rudra too)
Poly is really nice for its accuracy tho, but a max augmented Sari is pretty near, so I'd guess it depends on what you're going to do. If you are after afterglow Twashtar may aswell keep Poly for high accuracy rewuirements and use your Sari for anything else as ai think your Sari already outdoes Poly for damage.

According to my DPS math:
Setup:
Terp 119 Aug Main hand
Apex Bat
Hume
/Sam
Sublime Sushi
Capped Haste (Haste 2 + March 2)
Capped Acc (Sushi + Mad 2)
Rudra Storm (Sorry, too lazy to swap everything to PK for Terpys)
+Cap Sari = 1060 DPS
+Kaja Knife = 1021 DPS
+Base Sari = 1011 DPS
+Polyhymnia = 983 DPS
With AM3
+Cap Sari = 1214 DPS
+Kaja Knife = 1180 DPS
+Base Sari = 1161 DPS
+Polyhymnia = 1141 DPS

Lol what's the point of even checking it without switching to PK. You wanted to help and you did half the job, but that half means nothing.

Conceptually, Sari would be extremely close to Twashtar if spamming PK at 1K, however; I ran the numbers through the spreadsheet and:
DPS with Poly: 4731.006
DPS with Sari: 4980.420
DPS with Twashtar: 5148.171
PK with Poly: 18651
PK with Sari: 19738
PK with Twashtar: 19677
That small shift in DPS vs WSD is the reason why they are that close [Twashtar Leading by 3%], if it was up to me, I wouldn't even build a Twashtar as offhand, it isn't sustainable to do so, and the incentive is rather minimal, unless you're OCD about that 3%, or you want more options on DNC.
Will Add Kaja and check it vs Sari, since perfect Sari seems almost impossible, I can see it a very valid option over Poly.
Edit:
DPS with Kaja: 4945.204
PK with Kaja: 18963

What is the reason Perf Sari is so far behind AG Twashtar?
It's not a matter of damage (sari is +1 over Twash).
It shouldn't be a matter of acc (I assume you had capped acc in your tests on the spreadsheet).
Surely it's not a matter of att because Sari grants more att (and that amount applies to both hands)
Sari also grants +22 STR (str tiers for melee and WS) but it offers 28 less DEX than Twashtar.
Last but not least, Sari offers 3% TA which is probably devalued with AM3 up though, so this probably doesn't have a big impact.
Given all I've just said the only thing that remains in favour of Twashtar OH for Terps MH is the lower delay?
Can a slightly lower delay alone contribute to over 168 melee DPS? Seems a lot :x
I'm not hinting behind the lines that there's an error in your calculations, I'm just trying to understand what makes Twash so good for Terps MH.
I mean on Aeneas main it's much easier to understand, but here I dunno, sounds like Terps and Twash should be even closer than they show in your numbers, yet that's not the case and can't get what it is that I'm underestimating atm, or plain ignoring.

Probably because numbers come from spreadsheets.
Is taming still bis for twash main?

Is taming still bis for twash main? If you want to rule out Centovente (which tecnically *is* the BiS option) then yes, I believe Perf Sari is still the best.
Well, or a Skinflayer with crazy augs.
Some may say but that requires insane amounts of luck! which is true, but so does getting a Perf Sari, so if you wanna rule out Skinflayer you should do the same with Sari as well.
At that point what's left are Kaja Dagger and Poly.
The latter offers WSD and STP and a lot of acc.
The former offers some nice base stats and similar amounts of Acc, it's still to be seen what will happen, come next and last upgrade.
They are also on a similar level in terms of difficulty to obtain. More about gil for Poly, and time/farming/gating for Kaja.

What would be your idea of a crazy aug flayer? Just asking because with MAGA I'd almost rather throw gil at Oseem than waste time and sanity farming a perfect *** Sari.
Something like STR15/AccAtk20+/TA4?
To compare, "crazy" skinflayer would be 15 STR, 35 Acc, 30 Attack, 6 Triple Attack vs the 22 STR 22 DEX 20 Acc 20 Atk 3 Triple Attack of Sari.
Probably splitting hairs either way >.>

@Lunafreya
I was talking about DM augments, not sure if you can get augs good enough with Fern stones to beat Taming Sari. Maybe? I'm sure someone already tested it in the past, but good luck searching through the pages of this thread...
Your best chance is asking Katriina if she remembers, or testing stuff yourself on the spreadsheet.
Speaking of which... Katriina the last version present in the spreadsheet node has the may 2018 as latest version. Might want to update that node, or you can ask me/chiaia if you cannot.
As far as some quick checks I've done myself I can tell you that 4% TA and 10 STR are not enough, appearently (tested in a capped acc/att scenario, so I didn't bother about those)
Poly looks amazing, totally forgot about this weapon, gonna give it a try. Not sure Poly is gonna be better than Kaja as OH for Twashtar /shrugs
Would have to be tested, also Kaja is not on its last form yet so who knows really?

Sari only increases the attack and accuracy on the main hand, but the offhand hits are have lower accuracy and attack because of the drop on skill, not to mention DEX translates into accuracy in a 1:1 ratio now, so Twashtar is slightly better accuracy for your main hand (+8 vs Sari) but way more accuracy for your offhand (+35). Same thing happens with Attack but in this case Sari wins for main hand (+42?) and still wins on offhand too. So I guess if accuracy is not a problem Sari would beat Twashtar for auto attacks if it wasn't because Twashtar has higher base damage for its delay.
On the other hand. Sari is +22 dex +22 str vs Twashtar being +50 dex so Twashtar would win for PK but not with too much of a difference, however if you are nor just going to spam PK and you plan to use your Climactic Rudra when it's up Twashtar wins big time.
I personally didn't bother getting a max augments Sari as Twashtar was the first REMA i got on this character. I still think the delay is a thing tho.

Quote: DEX translates into accuracy in a 1:1 ratio now
It's still .75:1.
Quote: so Twashtar is slightly better accuracy for your main hand (+8 vs Sari) but way more accuracy for your offhand (+35).
sooo it's only about 26 less in the offhand, 1 in the mainhand.
The hit rate cap for the offhand is still 95%, so if your offhand accuracy is 8 less than your main, the hit rate will be the same. You could interpret this to mean that the accuracy advantage for Twashtar is really only 18 in the offhand versus a capped Sari.
Quote: On the other hand. Sari is +22 dex +22 str vs Twashtar being +50 dex so Twashtar would win for PK but not with too much of a difference,
fSTR is also a thing, and so is the dagger's +TA. For PK damage, Sari is the clear (albeit marginal) winner.
Twashtar still wins for overall DPS, especially if you're adding in Climatic Rudras (as you should), but let's not inflate the difference.

Lol what's the point of even checking it without switching to PK. You wanted to help and you did half the job, but that half means nothing.
I believe you are mistaken.
The effects of the offhand dagger, on the WS damage would be so minimal (and consistent across the entire test regardless) it's not going to effect the outcome respective to the weapons being tested. The 'total' DPS will be different, sure, but the question was which dagger was most effective offhand. The white damage is obviously (to some of us) going to dictate which dagger is better unless we're talking massive WS effects (E.G. Centrovert) which none of these have. Furthermore Poly's 5%WSD would have favored Rudra over PK anyways and it still got trounced which even further proves the point that it's the least effective offhand dagger.
It's worse than a non-augmented Taming Sari and worse than Kaja both of which are simple AF to get and are virtually free, whereas Poly costs ~2.2M on my server and is clearly inferior. I don't understand why it's even being discussed for people who have DREAM weapons in their main hand. Poly has it's place for people just returning. This is not that place.
Same parameters as above but with PK, exact same outcome:
+Cap Sari = 1168DPS
+Kaja Knife = 1118DPS
+Base Sari = 1108DPS
+Polyhymnia = 1070DPS
With AM3
+Cap Sari = 1348
+Kaja Knife = 1305
+Base Sari = 1289
+Polyhymnia = 1255
Speaking of being too lazy and only answering half the question, wanna be productive while you're here?
I was trying to make Divine waltz change, but i dont know ID for Divine Waltz II and I and im too lazy to search for it XD
Divine Waltz 1 = 195
Divine Waltz 2 = 262
I've tried: Code if spell.english == "Divine Waltz" or spell.english == "Divine Waltz II" then
if spell_recasts[262] < 1 and player.tp > 800 then
newWaltz = 'Divine Waltz II'
waltzID = 262
elseif spell_recasts[262] > 1 and player.tp > 400 then
newWaltz = 'Divine Waltz'
waltzID = 195
return
end
end
I've tried: Code if spell_recasts[spell.recast_id] > 0 then
if spell.english == 'Divine Waltz' then
add_to_chat(122,'All Divine Waltz on cooldown, cancelling Waltz.')
eventArgs.cancel = true
return
elseif spell.english == 'Divine Waltz II' then
newDivine = 'Divine Waltz'
end
end
if newDivine ~= spell.english then
send_command('@input /ja "'..newDivine..'" '..tostring(spell.target.raw))
eventArgs.cancel = true
return
end
I've tried: Code local newWaltz = spell.english
local waltzID
local spell_recasts = windower.ffxi.get_spell_recasts()
if spell.english == "Divine Waltz" or spell.english == "Divine Waltz II" then
if spell_recasts[spell.recast_id] < 1 and player.tp > 800 then
newWaltz = 'Divine Waltz II'
waltzID = 262
return
else if spell_recasts[spell.recast_id] > 1 and player.tp > 400 then
newWaltz = 'Divine Waltz'
waltzID = 195
end
All without success.
If I use Divine Waltz 2, and don't have the TP or the cooldown to do it, I want to downgrade to Divine Waltz.
