TP:
I no longer really split my TP sets up by Haste level, because I always assume Haste II and (if I'm not in my DT set) Haste Samba.
ItemSet 327780
Ashera Harness and better leg DT/Acc augments would be an improvement.
ItemSet 218978
ItemSet 233269
ItemSet 348739
WSs:
I have a low Acc WS set that I use in 99% of content, and then I have a high Acc WS set that I only use in my high Acc TP build. The high Acc sets hurt, so I'm not going to post them. Just imagine making every sacrifice for Acc.
ItemSet 194288
AF+3 hands will be an improvement.
ItemSet 287555
ItemSet 348738
Utility:
ItemSet 332138
ItemSet 327778
(mostly for Utsusemi - 74% FC/5% Quickens)
ItemSet 327779
Cryptic would be an improvement.

Starting to give my DNC a little love, and I am wondering if I have made the best decision for my offhand dagger. The more I look at these other daggers and think about it, the more I think a different one may be better. I mainhand a 14/9/8 Taming Sari and offhand a Path B Enchufla. It's biggest selling point is it's base damage at 122. Potentially the DW can hurt tp a bit, and here are the other 3 I am looking at I either already have or can get easily
Polyhmnia - So much Accuracy should pretty much allow me to eat curry near full time, the combo of a Store TP and pretty potent regain is really nice. Downside really low base damage - although perhaps the full time attack food and 5% WSD could help counter it a bit.
Odium - Solid 113 DMG with STR and Dex to help pump WS.
Terninion Dagger - Because Triple Attack is that good - downside again really low dmg at 100.
I guess a lot of it boils down to how much the offhand mele strikes, and offhand hit on the WS impact overall DPS vs some of the other bells and whistles these daggers have that Enchufla doesn't.
I am also okay w. Situational uses if it's best - like Enchufla when tanking in Fan Dance, else Poly - or something like that.
What are everyone's thoughts? Also Byrth TY for those sets - very helpful.

Outside of RMEA, probably tough to beat Taming/Taming. The combined stats are just too good for WS and TP.

In the meantime, Polyhymnia or Ternion +1 is probably your best bet for an offhand. Base damage is far less important than favorable stat boosts and low delay when selecting an offhand weapon.

I've got Terp main hand and an offhand skinflayer for the time being. (3STR,20ACC, 2TA)
Should I build a TP ambuscade cape for tping ? currently using DA+10 one, PK using DA+10 STR+30 acc/atk+20 for ws. Does that look right?

^^ This, but chiming in that a Skinflayer with very good augments can beat a Taming Sari. Even Sari with garbage augments is really really good though, Skinflayer is more an option if you're either unlucky getting even non-perfect Saris, or really lucky getting a good aug on Skinflayer.
And I'm taking very good Skinflayer augments. I have one with something like DMG+18/DEX+14/Acc+15/Atk+7/Crit rate 2%, and it beats my mid-range Taming Sari augments in most cases I've spreadsheeted (or actually used), but would still get beat out slightly by a perfect Sari.
In Skinflayer/Taming Sari setups, Skinflayer should be mainhand and Sari offhand, since Skinflayer will have the higher DMG of the two. Sari is 110~125 DMG, Skinflayer 116 base and you're not going to want to use it over Sari unless you get something like to DMG+16~20 in addition to other good augment stats.

This is perfect thank you, my sets are almost identitcle except for a couple things that look much better when what i had.
would you change anything other then the head on rudras without climactic?
By Zyx1337 2017-01-09 13:43:22
Just curious if anyone has average damage for PK vs Rudra's?
I know PK should win out at 100%, I was in an apex group on crabs and PK with Terp still was losing to rudras, granted most ws for rudras were at 200% just because I'm holding a lot of TP but still I feel like my PK underperforms.
What's your guys averages on PKs and Rudras at 100%-200%?

It varies a lot based on target and Scoreboard doesn't give a per-WS breakdown afaik. With Terpsichore, my PK wins out at 1000 TP quite decisively.
By Sidra 2017-01-09 14:43:06
FYI Kparse still works, and gives great detailed WS info. I know it's kind of old and a few things haven't been updated on it, but I am not sure why it's not more popular.
Also moderately geared DNC here, 150 JP in and Taming Sari main hand. Solo CP worms in Woh gates, my PK also stronger at 1000 TP. So I PK except Rudras when Climactic is up, or if I get stuck with extra TP.
More of a question for me, I really notice the Building Flourish buff on both weaponskills, but on mobs I am chaining like that and are dying so fast, I can't figure out if it's a DPS loss to do the step, and activate Building.
By Zyx1337 2017-01-09 21:11:02
Damn I'm just really confused on why my output on it is so low especially considering mythic bonus...feelsbadman.jpeg. Maybe my LUA is setup poorly or need to optimize my ws gear for it better. Something is very off.

Is the 550 JP Gift literally going doing from DW-IV to DW-V (30-35% reduction) or is it somehow handled differently?

Heya Kat - you may want to edit the max TP return for Reverse Flourish, as that number does not include the bonuses from the Flourishes II JP Spend. I know mine returns 1395 TP, and my toetapper is 1 short at 29/30. And those same JP also make Building Flourish considerably stronger, and combined with it's much shorter recast perhaps situationally making a case for it's use over Reverse. I am not sure you can just toss it out with the bath water anymore, and it can be stacked with Climactic for Rudra's adding the 20% more DMG (at least I think it can, seems to pump my dmg on it considerably).
Also...just a thought or maybe I am the only idiot doing it - in pure DPS situations where I know I am going to be using Saber Dance and someone else is tanking, I prefer to use /DRK. Double Attack from /WAR is useless, Last Resort and Berserk give the exact same attack bonus, but I prefer the extra Attack Trait /DRK gives full time (+12 more) compared to Warcry. And if you choose you can Soul Eater to pump a WS or get a few hits in, although I tend to turn it off, too much HP drain to ride it. Pretty low value overall and you won't always use it...but something is better than nothing, and comparing it head to head v /WAR - there isn't anything left to compare it to offensively.
Lastly, am I the only one that just finds the statistical benefit of Closed Position too small to be worth it? I'm 4/5 Saber, 1/5 Fan, and 5/5 No Foot Rise. I really like the auto 250TP and 5 steps. For instance you can use Building Flourish and still have 2 for Climactic without needing to step.
I'm a DNC novice, so take it for what it's worth and ignore as you seem fit.

Already noticed thank you and removed that note since its not the same for everyone and as you noticed none of the abilities were modified according to JP accumulated.
DRK as a sub will be added, although its debatable in capped attack situations.
Its still open for review thats for sure, and anyone is welcome to review it to make it better~

The max should probably still be in the guide. but I can't figure out what the hell it is since when I do the math I come up with 1,275 which obviously isn't right since it's less than what I am getting.
(95+70)*5 = 825
-this is 30 from toetapper and 40 from the jp spend on flourish2
12*5^2 = 300
Empy makes the square mod 12
+150
1,275
My guess is I have one of the bonuses is the wrong spot.
I get 279 per, and I am one short on toe tapper, so I'd have to believe it's 280*5 1400, just can't get the math to say that.

TP Return = (95 + Reverse Flourish Bonus) × (Finishing moves) + (Square Mod)×(Finishing moves)^2 + 30×(Merit Level)
TP Return = [(95+70)X 5]+ [(12)x(5)^2]+ [30x(5)]= 825+300+150= 1275 +[40 from 20/20 JP] = 1315 TP Return
If you used NFR before all that you get extra 250 TP which nets you 1525 TP in total.
but as I mentioned before, not everyone is 5/5 on RF nor 20/20 JP or even 30 on cape.

Hmm - Didn't realize the 40 from JP went in twice, once to make the 70, and then again at the end. Got it. And 5/5 NFR = 250.
And yeah everyone is going to have differing amount based on their current situation, I think it's just good to show the max, for the same reason you list BiS gears for specific things - so people know what they can get to even if they aren't at that level yet or choose a different path.

Max Return added and the listed gear excluded Adhemar +1 of course so its not "BiS" but close to it. also Lust+1 feet isn't included.

Does anyone have an optimal set for exenterator for those making Aeneas? I plan to build terps, but for the time being Aeneas would be a reasonable option.

I mostly use the Ambuscade skadi set all over for it since Exen just needs the acc to hit and then attack/agi.
Also WTF Dancers at your AF+3 hands goddamn that's amazing.

AGI / TA / Acc+Atk for Exenterator, but it's still going to be shitty regardless how you build for it. Honestly, Exenterator's terribleness is a large part of why I feel Aeneas is a shitty weapon.
No Moonshade in the Exenterator set. You probably want Brutal / Sherida.
I am on the road this weekend but will read the guide when I get a chance.

Steps:
Choriea Earring is no good. Step Acc+ is the same as Acc+, so Telos or a host of other earrings are better.
Kentarch Belt +1 is worse than Olensi belt for Steps
Cacoethic Rings have less Acc than Ramuh +1s.
Combatant's Torque has less Acc than Ej Necklace/+1
Waltz:
Anwig gets delay -2
Herc Gloves with Waltz Potency +10% and CHR+15 are theoretically BIS but really hard to get.
Dashing Subligar is interesting, but I don't have one and haven't really considered it thoroughly vs. the Waltz TP Cost -5 pants
This is as far as I got
