Think now Fea's Slops + repartie gloves should beat rubeus spats and gloves for precast set.
Right you are! updated the sets. I've been on vacation, has the refresh on either morri body been found yet?
I didn't see any info on Morri +1 yet. I know the Meeble body, Manasa Chasuble has +2 refresh though.
ya, that's what I used to have up but I hate how it looks so I replaced it on the assumption one of the morri bodys is at least +2.
I'm hoping for +3 though. Considering Ares's is +2 I think that's a safe bet.
Don't mean to be some weird grammar nazi but on the precast set comment part it says
"The neck is from Abyssea La Theine Plateau and is augmented with 3% fast cast" Which was from the Jeweled Collar, but its the Orunmila's torque now! :) Idk if you should bother fixing that but I just thought I'd point it out C: Fixed, happy to try and keep it looking nice and not confusing.
Edit: I'll also probably add a little bit about salvage in soon, and have to edit some of the stuff about buff locking since that doesn't work any more. A friend finished morri body +1 and confirmed it is 2mp/tic refresh.

On your Kaustra nukeing set, Why not Arch Dynamics Lord Ring? Rest of the guide looks great!
+7 int did more for dmg than 5mab when I did the math. Kaustra gets a lot out of int; so much so that icesoul(7int) vs galdir(6int 1mab) has icesoul ahead given the listed set. IE: 1int>1mab at the target int value I used. I haven't actually done a side by side casting test in game to be 100% sure though.
Thank you for this guide, I have used it as the benchmark for my SCH since it was created, and it has helped me improve my gear selection for spellcast at every turn.
My only suggestion for a sch is to get the diamond rings with augmented +3 int over icesoul if you like ENMs. No loss of int in lv75 cap fights, sadly with changes made to embrava I'll probably use another job when duo'ing ENMs anyway. since I already have them, which is better for shattersoul, gorget/ele belt or the int belt/neck?
Does the partial set bonus on Morrigan +1 gear change the optimal nuke build? In particular, hands & feet (Body is already up).
I had a note by the gear set, but now that it is confirmed I'll update the post. Yes on morri hands. Feet will take math I plan to do very soon. I'll probably get and use them regardless due to the fact they can double as mnd debuff shoes and will crush AF3+2 with klima down. The inventory space is probably more valuable than the dps difference.
Edit: Savant's +2 look to be just ahead of nares if the magic acc from ele skill does nothing. Chimerawizard said: » since I already have them, which is better for shattersoul, gorget/ele belt or the int belt/neck? thank you. well, in NNI I generally carry around the enhancing, cure, kaustra, fast cast, & TP set + some extra staves and obis. that almost includes anything I'd shattersoul in anyway except belt/gorget. ~70/80 inventory used. I don't mind making that 71/80.
This weekend I plan to update the guide to include a bit of stuff I've been writing up based on some of the good ideas in other guides.
included: Gear progression and magian staves, salvage, SCing with Immanence (I've been putting it off since its basically useless, but I think it might finally have a real practical use in salvage), update the existing guide to reflect the removal of buff locking If I don't get this updated by Sunday night, I give you all permission to send me rude PMs calling me names. :3 Hi, I didn't read the whole thing to know if anyone already asked this but... How do you get Erlene's notebook? or you just .dat mine it?
Its not in the game yet. I didn't realize when I updated the sets that it wasn't added. I should take it out of the sets until it actually gets put in the game. (same for the sexy cape and the grips)
Added the gear progression post, added a bit about neosalvage, got rid of all mentions of buff locking, fixed stuff. Not done yet, but need a little break.

The gorget wont out do the int necks. This was tested and shown to be true. The gorget only gives a bonus on first hit where the int neck all three
aprox 282 base damage on shatter soul
so an increase of 8 int is about a 2.8% dmg increase .1 ftp=3.475/3.375 a 2.9% dmg increase before we account for any acc that might come into play. Napkin math, but its pretty safe to say they are about even damage wise if acc capped, gorget hands down if you need acc. Great guide, was very helpful in assisting me as I ran around collecting various items and whatnot.
I'm not that used to playing mage-type jobs outside of on a white mage mule, so I was wondering what sort of macro panel setups everyone used? My biggest challenge with scholar so far is quickly accessing various stratagems and spells via my macro layout, which is admittedly a cluster. That's how I have mine set up. I use the arrow keys to move between books. My eyes are bleeding. I am disappoint.
Stun is ALT+1. Always ALT+1!
Next you'll all start making fun of me for playing w/ the mouse again :/
