DRK TP sets
Lookin for some suggestions on TP sets for DRK w/ and without Embrava up.
the threads @ http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/forum/62/dark-knight (where you made this thread) were not good enough?
Well mine is this for /war, need 7 stp in WS if 5+ aug on arma assuming only first hit lands (for 7 hit).
But would vary depending on weapon. Could replace arma for augmented valkyries breastplate (TA/zanshin/acc), tyrants for mars or something and hagneia for anger if /sam. Scythe first. 5 hit /sam using wroth scythe, assuming brutal earring in WS set at least for STP. Armada with 6stp (and ideally DA+3), valkyrie with TA+3 and ideally zanshin and/or acc. Tp no embrava: Tp with embrava and haste and DB up: GS sets - all assuming fulgurante occasionally attack twice path. Same body augs as before. Tp no embrava: 5 hit /sam, requires 10 stp in WS set (rajas, rose and brutal) Tp embrava Same WS requirement as no embrava...tbh not exactly happy with this set. Edit: few changes, forgot to factor in regain. Embrava sets assume 1 tick of 6tp regain. I know I haven't been in the game for a long time, but I never expected to see Shadow/Valk breastplates in TP sets ever! What the *** happened to FFXI??

Triple attack/zanshin augments lol. Sadly little use for em outside of niche tp sets now though... was BOSS back at 90~ cap. And for resolution at 99 before neo-nyzul... Quite often the stp on armaberk with DA aug alongside is more effective for the slot. Exception being under embrava or other regain where stp needs are reduced. Edit: Or high haste/marches which unlock ogier's gloves. Siren.Seiri said: » Asura.Failaras said: » Quote: Triple attack/zanshin augments lol. Edit: Or high haste/marches which unlock ogier's gloves. Fixed. But I do agree in point. The few events remaining are kinda niche though. As far as OP goes, what events do you do and wish to gear for? There is a large difference between say Voidwatch T3 gear and Arch Dynamis Lord gear.

can i get any suggestions for a 6 hit build while capping haste with cala?
i sub war alot so if ya can have em with sub war. Also the neo nyzul legs will proly never be in my futur lol. So those are out of the question. You're not gonna realistically hit 6 hit w/o nyzul gear as /sam or /war with Caladbolg. 7hit is possible with the above setup but replace the nyzul gear with your standard stuff.
Might sound stupid, but wouldn't Portus Collar be > Mala for /WAR since double attack is being stacked?
Huh, why is that? QA+2% doesn't sound like it would proc that often.
Yet 3% does? You're getting ~twice as many additional hits out of Mala in practice.
And when it does, it's equal to three DAs.
I just figured with all the DA and TA being stacked with /WAR especially in the Embrava Sets, Portus would increase the odds of DA proc. 2/100 hits for QA is really that worth it? If that's so, I guess I can't question it.
I feel everyone should be required a math degree in college, would make the world a happier place.
I admit, math isn't my strongest area, but gimme a break, will ya? :\
2 * 3 = 6
3 * 1 = 3 First off, seriously, Fenrir is like Server of the Math Nerds the more I look at it.
Secondly, some people just don't understand things, even if they seem simple to you. We all have our weaknesses. ***, I'm sure I screw up simple English composition constantly. While something like 2QA= 6 extra hits/100, 3DA= 3 extra hits/100 seems like it should be obvious, it's not always so simple. What's better 2QA(6hits) or 6DA(6hits)? What's better 2TA(4hits) or 3DA(3hits)? Considering that there's only two simply rules to QA/TA/DA that you don't even need to know math in order to recognize, your point is pretty invalid.
1) QA > TA > DA. An equal amount of QA will always be more effective than an equal amount of TA or DA, and an equal amount of TA will always be more effective than an equal amount of DA. 2) 1 QA = 3 extra hits per 100, 1 TA = 2 extra hits per 100, 1 DA = 1 extra hit per 100 Using these very simple to remember concepts, you should never have any issue maintaining which multiattack piece is more effective than the other. So 2TA is always better than 3DA though?
2 TA = 4 extra hits per 100
3 DA = 3 extra hits per 100 If you have other TA, the DA is going to be diminished further, however if you have some QA the TA will be diminished as well. |
