Because it's awesome.

They should do one of these for all of the candidates.

The whole Republican moral/religious thing is ***. They don't give a ***about that, its a *** ploy ...look this way while we destroy medicare (so they can turn around and say... look it needs to fixed!). They had the Presidency, both house's and the supreme court for 6 years, where was all this ***about contraception and abortion when that ***kicking jesus dood was running things???

I personally don't think it's a ploy, it's a vote grabbing thing. You would be surprised how many Americans straight up oppose abortion (49%) so the Republican support the same viewpoint for obvious reasons.

While there are obviously some Republicans who believe all that crazy whacky stuff, like bans on gay marriage, I believe they are in the minority. I think most of them don't care about that stuff or support it, but merely say they are against it for votes.

Want an example? OK here ya go. The much hated by the left, Sarah Palin.

Who when you look at her political views, she is in line with everything the Republican party stands for. But when push came to shove about gay marriage:

"Palin opposed state-covered health and retiree benefits to same-sex partners of state employees but complied with an Alaska Supreme Court directive to do so[53][54] and subsequently vetoed a bill that would have denied the benefits.[55] In an interview with Newsweek in 2007, she affirmed her support for an amendment to the state constitution denying benefits to same-sex couples.[54] She later signed a bill ordering a non-binding referendum for a constitutional amendment to deny the benefits.[56] Although the referendum passed in April 2007, with 53 percent of voters supporting a constitutional amendment, a bill to place such an amendment on the ballot in November 2008 stalled in the state legislature."

When you know how the state legislature is going to vote, you know what is going to happen to a bill that goes there. Also notice how she votoed the bill that would have denied same sex marriage people medical benefits even though she claimed to be against them. Also notice how many people voted for it, 53% of the state population.

Still don't think that politicians really aren't as crazy as they come off and just do it for the votes?

Like I've said before, until there are less crazy people in the United States voting for stuff like this, there will always be a political party backing them.

Oh and since Hispanics are flooding our country and breeding like rabbits, expect the Republicans stance on immigration to change soon to reflect the new voters. Hispanics are starting to make up a much larger voting block and they mostly hate immigration reform. Mostly.

Libertarianism is fine if taken in moderation, like all things. In this day and age everyone likes to go to extremes, then once everyone is there, they have to prove which one is "more" extreme then the other and thus we got all sorts of situations that started as good ideas. Libertarianism is for people who are fiscally conservative and want smaller governments but who are socially liberal and don't want other people telling them how to live their life. Most of the USA's founding father's were libertarians if you read their view points.

But like all things, once taken out of context and to the extreme it becomes insanity mad max style.

The “Snatchel Project” from Government Free VJJ takes a creative approach toward combating the GOP’s ongoing War on Women (or WOW — as in: Wow, are you really waging a war on women?) by inviting knitters and crocheters alike to knit or crochet a vagina or uterus, and mail the result to their male Senator or Congressional Representatives.

Their message: “If they have their own, they can leave ours alone!”

Patterns are available on the group’s site; hand-delivery of the “gifts” is forthcoming. If you don’t know how to knit or crochet, no worries: There’s a how-to section on the site.

4 of these 5 canidates want to start world war 3 idk about you guys but i think the Iraq war is quite the waste of money. Here we stand with laws being passed that strip away our rights given to us by the founding fathers to protect us from people who want to destroy this nation. Obama allowed a bill to be passed called the patriot act which allows the government to take Americans hostage and allows them to torture or even kill that person with no trials or other form of due process. Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum believe that this bill is a terrific bill and they would have allowed it. It's the slight destruction of the constitution that will bring this country down we need someone who's going to protect our rights our freedoms and our beliefs. We need a man who is actually going to follow through with his ideals and not shaft everyone in the prospect to further benefit oneself. Its time to restore America and have a president who actually follows the rules. Vote for Ron Paul

It's stunning to see so many claimed conservatives, yet there's only really one who actually doesn't want to expand government control, and no "conservatives" want to vote for him.

What I found funny about the Cain sexual harassment charges was the response from the accuser.

Quote:
Sharon Bialek says:

He also grabbed my head and brought it towards his crotch. I was very very surprised and very shocked. I said, ‘what are you doing? You know I have a boyfriend. This isn’t what I came here for.’ Mr. Cain said, ‘you want a job, right?

Really? Someone grabs your genitals and tries to forcibly get you to preform oral sex and your response is "I have a boyfriend?". Holy smokes that says everything about what type of person this woman is.

I find that bizarre too. I think most women, after recovering from the initial shock, would have A.) made people aware of what had happened at that very moment B.) walked out the door (no job is worth that unless you actually are a prostitute) C.) punched him in the balls or D.) all of the above.

I would have probably gone with "D". Why did they not speak up until now? That still bothers me. I really wonder who actually obliged him and is now crying wolf. What is the use in waiting? Wouldn't you inform someone at that very moment?!?
LOL, naive much? Since speaking out against anyone in power always yields the desired results. People always believe the "victim!" Maybe she was wearing a "hoodie" and deserved it.

No woman (or man) ever deserves to be assaulted, sexually or otherwise. How disgusting.

Do I 100% believe her? No. She came forward at too much of a convenient time. If something looks too convenient to be true, it probably is. But if it did happen, she absolutely did not 'deserve' it.

I am sorry you missed the point/analogy of my sarcasm. But, to your statement about convenience, that is disturbing. I just do not understand that logic, and never will. Just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to many examples in this world of whistle blowers or victims being persecuted. I sincerely hope that you never experience anything where your words, actions or inaction cause you to suffer from this jaded world view.

I apologize, I didn't catch the sarcasm. There is a great need for a sarcasm font. ~.^

As for the convenience thing, I do see your point. She may have been quite frightened to come forward when it happened. A lot of raped or sexually assaulted women never come forward at all, be it out of fear or humiliation. But I also know that waiting until she did to come forward had a much greater impact than if she had come forward immediately, which just makes it awfully convenient timing.

HUH!!!!????
Ron Paul is a lunatic, and I do not mean that as a slight, simply the truth. I am truly in awe of people that support RP. Supporting or speaking in favor of this man... I just dont know what to say. I want to spend sometime trying to show you the dark side to his (hidden, unless you actually hear more than sounds bites) policy's. But, hey I guess I am being hypocritical here and assuming that you dont know the whole Ron Paul story. If you do know the whole story and still support him, that is your right. Please forgive my assumption.

Catching flies with vinegar is always a good strategy. I'm sure this zenith of maturity will change a lot of hearts and minds.

Not too crazy about anyone this year, but it wouldn't be difficult for anyone to be a better candidate than Obama.

Hi! I know you will prob kick me out for posting this or something, call it crazy media like the Kony thing or whatever, but!

I am Mexican, and Mexico has elections next July... I just found this today:

Lame *** translation from yours truly:

Quote:
If this is the future that awaits me, I don't want it. It's time to stop working for your political parties and start working for the people. It's time to stop pretending you are "solving issues" in our country. Mrs. Josefina, Mr. Jose Manuel, Mr. Enrique and Mr. Gabriel... Time is over. Mexico has already touched bottom. Are you only after the presidential chair, or are you actually going to change the future of our country?

The names given are the candidates for our next elections... I just figured I'd share...

Not "wow", was completely expected.

No one other than Romney was ever really a choice.
