Like the title says... The time is coming soon, where we will vote for our new President...... Personally, I believe the only person that would actually be good for this country is Ron Paul, everyone else seems like a bullshitter!
so who do you like?

Ron Paul is no doubt the best for the job.
It's unfortunate he stands little chance.
If by some miracle he made it past the primary, he is still up against the greater machine in the general.
The sheep will once again fall for the deceit and trickery of the silver-tongued charlatan.

I don't like Ron Paul because his name reminds me of RuPaul, and RuPaul gives me nightmares.

Romney.
Seems like a well-rounded, down to earth, level headed guy.

Romney.
Seems like a well-rounded, down to earth, level headed guy.
I thought so too until I read a list of his viewpoints on policies.
Seemed like a much better choice years ago until he fell to the super right.
So from what I can tell he's a tool who doesn't stand up for what he believes in. Or maybe he's just pretending so he can get power to push what he has in mind. Or maybe it's just all a ploy to get votes, after all...
I don't necessarily agree 100% with Paul, but he seems to be the most levelheaded and reasonable man of the choices.

Eh.... Ron Paul falls apart once you travel into his foreign policy. He simply is too much of a crackhead, and I'm more of a libertarian that anything else.
Romney would be a great candidate if I could trust him. However I've jumped on the "anyone but Mitt" train. He seems slippery enough to not get bogged down by the gotcha media, but slippery enough to not have any real confidence that his positions won't shift when they fall out of convenience.
Cain could be a great choice, it would be great to see a black conservative go head to head against Obama and really shove the race issue back at liberals. Although I'm loosing confidence that he can survive this attempt at character assassination driven by his opponents throughout the media. 9-9-9 would really be a great plan for everyone.
It seems the last hope outside of Cain is for a late surge by Gingrich, who never disappoints in terms of his eloquence and policies.
Any one of them would be a better choice for the country than Obama (yes even Bachman). With unemployment at 9% and almost 15 trillion in debt now, 4 more years is really going to be a nightmare.

They all suck. Tbh, I'd rather Obama just keep trying at this point for another four years.

The only thing I like about Ron Paul is that he doesn't flip flop to score political points. As president? He'd never get to do half the stuff he wants to do.
Being non-interventionist and ignoring global terrorism is like sticking your head in the sand and pretending nothing is going on around you.
Not wanting to kill OBL? Really?

I will probably not vote. Again. I know it's my duty as a civilian and shameful not to vote and I'm a bad, bad person for not and so on and so forth, but honestly.
There's not a single one of them that I trust. There's not a single one of them that would follow through on promises. I don't think any of them know how to fix our economy or foreign policies. And if any of them did know how, they'd never get to do it because Congress/Senate has the real power, not the president. I feel like any vote would be, at best, voting for the lesser of two evils.
I don't identify with either the democrats or the republicans, so I'm not one of those folks who will vote for a party in the event that they dislike all candidates.
If Ron Paul makes it that far-- if -- I might throw a vote at him. He's still not ideal, but I don't think he's as big a liar as the other ones. >.>
By slipispsycho 2011-11-11 11:38:00
I don't vote, I don't trust politicians, don't care enough to invest time in finding out what they claim they'll do, and don't trust them enough to follow through with their promises even if they are elected, they'll say anything to get your vote.
All I care about is that Perry doesn't get elected. He's definitely the worst possible thing that could happen. I don't even need to know about all the other possible candidates to say that with conviction and confidence.

I REALLY like Cain. He is genuine and a nonpolitician. And I would absolutely love a Cain/Newt ticket. I been following Cain even before he announce he would run.
Newt is the smartess of them all. But he just says -'anothersteriotypcial republican' and he wont get a fair shake from the voters.
Romney - super polished and doesnt seem to do nothing wrong - thinking he actually is a cyborg. I would be pissed if he picked an /oldrepublicanguard running mate thou..
Perry - just plain ole' dropping the ball... if he doesnt debate good - how is he going negotiation with the other branches of government and nations?
I also agree that Ron Paul would lie the least. I respect his son too - Rand Paul. Look for him to be a powerhouse politican in later years. And a little isolation from the rest of the world would be a good thing right now - economically only thou.
Id vote for a carrot over Obamma.

Ron Paul.
As much as I love the idea of tax breaks for private education, legalized, taxed marijuana, and getting rid of the Fedral Reserve, I don't think he'll make it that far. Well, there's always write-ins.
With Slip on Perry. Jesus Christ! I hope his supporters started thinking twice after his blunder this week. If he whole-heartedly believed in what he was saying would't it come out naturally?

You guys saying you think Cain is the answer realize the man didn't even know china has had nuclear capability since the 1960's? Not exactly inspiring if you combine that ignorance with his silly tax plan...
As far as the sexual harassment issues whether they are true or false makes no difference imo. Peoples private, and professional lives should be separate. I am more interested in how they will govern. That applies to Cain, or Clinton, or Republican's who vote against same sex marriages then turn out to be closet homosexuals.

I agree with a couple of ya about Ron Paul, and thats kinda why i like him... he doesnt flip flop, and seems to talk straight from the heart, instead of trying to win votes... and telling people what they want to hear.

Ron Paul. Getting rid of the federal reserve is probably a good thing. It's owned and run privately. People of the US have very little to say on what they can or can't do. And its main purpose is to bankroll wars so they can make money off of people dying.

If the allegations are true it would say something about how he governs... He's a *** for tat guy. You want a job? ok well i'm going to need you to perform a little thing I like to call felatio first baby. It wasn't like he was just propositioning random women that he was attracted to as these were all women that worked for the organization he was running or were looking to get help finding work.
Edit: People say no one made an issue out of Clinton's actions but some tried and failed to impeach him lol.

Well the Clinton situation, and Cain's are apples, and oranges really. Clinton, and Lewinski were willing participants.
Vs. the Cain thing is harassment.

What I found funny about the Cain sexual harassment charges was the response from the accuser.
Quote: Sharon Bialek says:
He also grabbed my head and brought it towards his crotch. I was very very surprised and very shocked. I said, ‘what are you doing? You know I have a boyfriend. This isn’t what I came here for.’ Mr. Cain said, ‘you want a job, right?
Really? Someone grabs your genitals and tries to forcibly get you to preform oral sex and your response is "I have a boyfriend?". Holy smokes that says everything about what type of person this woman is.

I find that bizarre too. I think most women, after recovering from the initial shock, would have A.) made people aware of what had happened at that very moment B.) walked out the door (no job is worth that unless you actually are a prostitute) C.) punched him in the balls or D.) all of the above.
I would have probably gone with "D". Why did they not speak up until now? That still bothers me. I really wonder who actually obliged him and is now crying wolf. What is the use in waiting? Wouldn't you inform someone at that very moment?!?

The reason I think a sexual predator shouldn't be in office isn't because I care more about their personal lives than their professional lives. It's just that I think sexual predators should go sit in jail for awhile.
So for example, if Bill Clinton ran again, having had consensual sex with Monica Lewinsky, if I thought it was possible he could fix the economy I MIGHT throw a vote at him regardless of the fact that he's a huge liar and a cheat. But if someone who was proven to have tried in any way to rape another person ran for president or any other office, I'm not going to vote for them because it is my opinion that they belong in jail with the rest of the rapists.
On the gay marriage, if a candidate is against gay marriage, I won't vote for them anyways. Them being against basic human rights is a very large detriment to me no matter how I look at it. And I do look at gay marriage as a basic human right.
Now, all that being said, I think most politicians have relations outside their marriages, lie, cheat, steal, and possibly molest/assault others. It seems like people in high-power positions feel like they can get away with anything because they feel like they are somehow above the law. The difference is, most of them don't get caught. It's one of the (many) reasons why I just don't trust any of the buggers.
Edit: I should note that it needs to be proven that the candidate did whatever she/he was accused of. People really seem to like accusing those in highly visible roles of things for attention.
