As of right now, the lesser of all evils is to re-elect Obama and that is who currently has my vote.

If it comes down to Paul vs. Obama, I'd vote Paul I think. But if it comes down to anyone else vs. Obama, I'd go Obama. I wasn't planning to vote at all, but that gawful video Perry made kind of convinced me. Even if there's not someone I want in office, I will do what I can to keep people like Perry out of office. I guess that makes me kind of a rude person, to go vote not to vote FOR people but to vote AGAINST them, but I just don't see a way around it.

I do kinda wish Bill Clinton would run. He's a liar, but what politician isn't? He's a cheat, but what politician isn't? He could fix the economy.

All of my +'s
Bill Clinton Plox =3

Let's face it, it's down to Romney vs. Obama.

Bull! There are still write-ins. If the Ron Paul supporters here all do their part and vote he could have a chance. I've seen lots of support for Ron Paul in this state (Texas). I think plenty of people, here at least, have woken up to the realization that we've had a complete lunatic for a governor since 2000.

Don't fold! There is always hope!
Case in point... umm there was some politician in Alaska that won on write-ins.

lol...

Now don't get me wrong; Ron Paul is a decent candidate and I'm not saying his supporters should lose all hope. However, a politician in Alaska (a state with a low population) winning by write-in is not at all comparable to a presidential candidate winning by write-in. It will never happen. Ron Paul supporters should focus more on helping him win the primary. If he doesn't, you're screwing over the Republican candidate by writing Paul's name on the general election ballot. I'd hate to see Ron Paul become the next Ross Perot (even though they share similar initials)....

The person he chooses to endorse after resigning his campaign is just icing on the cake man. What better way to further usher your incompetence than to support Newt Gingrich. I'm laughing and crying at the same time this guy actually considered presidency.

First Palin and now Perry support Newt. Not like they hold any sway over anyone.

Everyone is having a field day over Romney's tax releases now.

I like how Newt's second wife waited till now to speak about his desire for an 'open marriage' in an interview.

Well played, well played.

I don't care which candidate any celebrity chooses to endorse. Anyone who bases their vote off of a celebrity's preferences should be banished to Devil's Island off the coast of French Guiana. Yeah...They should reopen that.

Not much of a choice to be honest, Obama is the clear choice. Any other candidate will end in your liberties being taken away worse then they are now.

All of the republican candidates are pushing for the usual right wing christian nonsense. Obama believes in a secular view of society. Unless you want creationism(lol) taught in schools and abortion to most likely because illegal, not to mention gay marrage illegal, and sexual abuse legalised.

Basically it's a lesser of two evils decision.

Right wing christian republican nightmare, or Obama for 4 years more.

It was close to 43 mil in the past two years (a little over 21 mil per year). It really isn't the amount that he makes as it is the amount he makes combine with the fact that he only paid taxes at a 13.7% rate the one year and I think it was 15.3% the next. The question arises about capital gains taxes and how venture capitalists take their income and wiggle around into making everything fall under that rate. Also, tax shelters and other loopholes used to pay less in taxes. People are wondering why that if you make more money you get taxed at a lower rate... Should you? Is it the dollar amount you contribute or is it the fairness of the percent you pay compared to those that make less than you? It's an interesting look on all of this especially when other candidates have proposed flat taxes.

Romney also fought in in 2007(?) to not increase the capital gains tax or whichever tax it is that applies to him.

Capital gains, yes.

Edit: the most hilarious thing about it all is that his contemporaries are pissed at him for shedding light on this again. They had just swept all this controversy under the rug a few years ago.

So...why would you support capital gains tax? This hits everyone. If you invest in the stock market, land, bank stuff, etc you get slapped with this tax. I take money I made, got taxed on, invest it, and then when it makes money for me, I get taxed again? Ok... Not sure whats so fair about capital gains tax or estate/death tax.

Not everyone is proposing a whole-sale rise in capital gains tax. Some people are suggesting raising it on people who make above x amount. Which considering tax code history really isn't all that radical. Not saying i know how to make that fair though.

In any event capital gains breaks disproportionately favor people with large amounts of capital. The regular average middle class American may have a few stocks on the side, but their primary source of income is still a paycheck which they pay full taxes on.

At best you could argue that it would hurt retirement accounts the most, which isn't mentioned.
