Dual Wield Cap Question

Is their a current cap that we know of for dual wield?

I ask because I TP in 10% Dual Wield added onto our traits and am thinking of picking up an Auric Dagger soon with Ls. In events I mostly Act as a DDer unless we lowman and then I'm either the tank (Khalamari) or main healer (Salvage). But I'm trying to get my gear finished up atm for TPing and before I add on anymore Dual Wield I was wondering if their is a cap.

Currently Tping in 25% Haste (35% Haste Samba), and a total of 40% Dual Wield including our Job Traits/Gear

Has the earring on if you look at profile so I'd say yes.

Yes, for many events when i act as DD /drg i just don't see /sam outdoing or /nin outdoing it, as well as if Dual Wield doesn't cap I'll have 15% Dual Wield in gear instead of the current 10 I'm at

DNC can hit like 27% haste without Wyvern Earring now, though it appears he does /DRG. Not my sub of choice given that I'd lose Brutal Earring and not get the full benefit of the earring due to my haste gear, but YMMV I guess. /SAM's pretty beast though.

As far as I know there's no cap, but if there is one it's probably 50%.

I guess. Especially if DW doesn't cap. Though looking more closely with current found gear not including the shield you can reach 26% haste while still wearing the DW neck and suppa without /drg.

Though if your gear is super pimped /drg could let you wear 25(+)% haste AND 18-20 DW

Wyvern Earring gives you 5% haste, which with full buffs is a ~17% increase in TP generation. 16 Store TP (trait + Brutal) on top of Rajas and Brutal is 15.23% to TP generation, 5% DW from Brutal Earring is approximately a 2% increase given offhand OA2-3 Parazonium, and you have Meditate for additional TP generation and free TP after WS in addition to Sekkanoki giving you additional safety margin for WSing while retaining TP for cures. In the ideal situation for Wyvern Earring, Jumps are actually detrimental to TP gain given JA delay. As Store TP and DA alone matched Wyvern Earring in the best case scenario for the earring, it's easy to see that /SAM is superior for TP generation all around.

EDIT: I did include Rajas, though it appears you have neither Rajas nor Brutal yet.

I don't have the OAT2-3x dagger atm. When /drg in event's i act as DD so most of the time I'm riding Saber Dance and currently use 2x Kila the Str and the Dex ones

Well some of that isn't found. Also if you do /drg you could put on the DW belt or body too while maintaining capped haste with found gear

True. You can still get pretty damn close using Acuben's Helm and Speed/Velocious Belt and Aurore/Relic Legs. (25% Haste)

If you feeling really frisky you can swap belt for DW belt body for rappare and head for acubens. Maintain the same amount (25) haste and gain 2% DW.

You lose 5dex/str/agi, 6att 4 store tp, and most importantly 26acc lol. Though you would still have +18 and +11 dex so maybe with sushi

is more of what's in my current range for a TP set atm and most of the time im in nonbuffed situations bar haste spell really not enough bards or corsairs

I don't really know the math but would /sam and brutal win out over /drg and wyvern earring? with just Haste/Haste Samba and Saber Dances as buffs

Easily, and I'd suggest swapping the Aurore Gloves for Dusk. Wyvern Earring really only shines in high-haste situations, and as I showed it doesn't even win then.

I've been looking at gear that drops and also acquiring some of the peices slowly but would something like this be best when one is full timing Saber Dance and giving Feather Steps

Kila +1 8 Dex +14 Accuracy

Stacking critrate has decreasing returns, so building for STR/attack in non-haste slots (Charis aside depending on how the crit damage+ works out) until fSTR/pDIF capped (and you're not going to cap both on DNC on anything that matters tbh) would actually be the smarter approach unless you can easily and precisely cap dDEX.

Side track on this but is this just confirmed by wiki or what? The wiki discussion on the testing for this seems rather vague and other testing I've seen points to 3%.

Just more of a curiosity thing since I don't even have dnc lvled but a friend was asking me about this the other day.

It would be so easy to test it. Just do tp calculations for 5 and 3 with different dagger setups till you find one that wont round them to the same amount and see if they get the same amount of tp after 10 hits
