I actually got a first wave Xbox 360. It stopped reading discs after my friend cleaned a disc and stuck it in the drive while still wet. -_-; but it never broke otherwise. I even left it on for two weeks straight trying to RROD it for fun(since I had bought an elite to replace it, lol) but it never did. :(
Microsoft is that way with everything. They release a copy of windows with all kinda holes, just to test a later copy. This is why Vista failed, why ME failed. Microsoft doesnt give a *** about you.
As far as the new gaming system, Sony has stated on many occasions that the PS3 is on a 10 year plan so I would bet it's a new PSP.

I was actually pissed when I bought my PSP and couldn't find many variety on what I wanted to play.
I guess I'm more of a DS girl but i dont want to trade my psp3000 for a DS.
though, PSP is very good for many many other things too :B.. and tbh, has one of my fav games.
