Looks like the damage dealt by the added effect is directly related to the total amount of STR they have then other bonuses come into effect such as o-sash. That's a weird way to handle that, but also interesting.
I'm curious what the resist rate of the fire damage might be now...

Damage ranges between 364-415 fire damage and doesn't seem to be reduced by the targets level. The 10% STR to weapon skills applies to the main hand if used in the offhand.
It looks like it is doing 200-260 in the video.
They buff their strength specifically later in the video and get it to around 400 per hit

An extra ~400 damage per hit is interesting, but in a world where WSs do capped damage it is a bit hard to get excited about. Maybe the enspell weapons enable some kind of weird solo.

The more impressive part is actually having a 4 step double light with decent weaponskills instead of RLB and Flat blade.. you know those well known hard hitting weapon skills.
Now it doesn't look like they show WS gear unless they are actually using Ayanmo+2 gear to WS in. Fast Blade II was doing comparable damage to their Savage Blades.

He was just using ambu armor to ws in, said in the video he doesn't have a WS set on that character.
There we go then unimpressive numbers with no WS gear... he did also spike to 62k at 3k tp.
If the wiki stats for it we have are correct, we should know basically how it performs, right?
For DNC, I see it as similar to Terpsichore (D144) and Pyrrhic Kleos. You can approximate PK at any TP as 3fTP replicating (weapon bonuses and gorget/belt) with a 5 hit base and 40% STR/DEX mods.
Onion Sword III (D165, DEX+30) with Fast Blade II on wiki at 1.5k TP is about 3fTP (gorget/belt) replicating with a 3 hit base and 80% DEX mod.
Missing some fTP at 1500TP probably, but also continues to scale.
Also wiki is probably wrong because I don't think 1.8 is actually a valid ftp anchorpoint.

Many of them are interesting due to some oddity (like Yagyu) and not because of their base damage, so I doubt the upgrade makes any of them more viable and honestly it might be best to just double your odds at the cost of having a ~0% chance of ever getting the upgraded version.

Just got that kupon when I zoned into Port Bastok. Zero idea what weapon to pick. lol
