Freshly Picked is next Friday, so I'd expect they'll cover it then.
What's wild is they know how few people win rank 1, they publish the numbers (or did for a long time). It'd be nothing short of insanity for them to expect one person to win it twice and reforge their previous one into some kind of HQ version. I know they are tone deaf but I really have a hard time believing they are just that stupid...but maybe they are.
Once you've won, why would you keep buying marbles. Now you have a reason.
It's not special to have the katana, like 30 have it. But only yours will be +1
You know those reforged bonanza weapons are going to have afterglow. Because if you had to win bonanza twice to get the thing, you need people to know without even checking you. We've had white, red, green, blue, and purple, so what color will bonanza be? Yellow? Neon pink?
Troll would be better if the reforge just removes the restriction of not being POL sendable. So your mule that won the bonanza before can now send your weapon to main. Just gotta mule win twice
Not even a little bit excited or moved by reforged Bonanza items. This is stupid. I've never won this thing once, twice is impossible. But wtg keeping the Felgar's of this game still hyped up just to get let down
If people embraced doubling up on numbers, there'd be dozens of them in a single bonanza. Of course, it's a hefty ask when we most likely won't know what reforge is until after we buy.

Only if they picked the winning number twice. This will cause more people to actually do what you've suggested, resulting in less* winners. It's genius
Essentially zero are going to play doubles. Like literally zero. Even for the (now) newest and mostest bestest shiniest shiny to ever shine.
Just a silly idea, even if the concept is functionally correct. It's better to win once than lose twice. You also lose chances at rank 2 wins by doubling up.
Crep items come from everywhere except the BC that drops them...
How do you even acknowledge your drop rates for your HTBF are that trash that you add them into both Trove and now Bonanza but don't actually adjust the drop rates for the HTBF.
It could be that it's an upgrade path for something else into the full Bonanza weapons. Their history of translation isn't always great and it's possibly a poor/weak description.
Like maybe there will be lower tier versions of the weapons with similar augments but trashier stats or that are weaker somehow, but the orb allows them to upgrade to the full version?
I could see them doing something like they did with Relic and Prime weapons: you can earn the effect of the weapon but it only works in besieged unless you get the orb

2% chance of crepuscular cloak * number of mules is the best chance I have had in forever.
Yup, I'm the proud owner of 75 mules and I'm thinking about doing this. But which account will get it? Probably the one that already has one :|
Everything worth a damn turning into a lottery system is the most frustrating turn SE has made with this game in recent years. Trove/Gobbie Box/ANV/SP Keys/Aurum Coffer, all of these systems are designed to attract and retain more entry-level players and pulling in a decent income. That's the reason why they make these drops so terrible in the first place, because more players will add more rolls to increase their odds.

It's in the same tier as the weapons themselves, I don't see how you can use it as a component to upgrade into them when the person could just take them.
It seems pretty clear that it's an (arguably tasteless) upgrade to the bonanza weapons that requires a second win. Given most of them aren't particularly strong any more, I assume this'll put them right up top again.

Ish.
Joke's on them, I created these mules years ago at the end of a month for a few cents (Pro-Rata Discount) and I'm only using them during Return to Vana'diel Campaigns, because that's when they're free to use.
That being said, yup, the whole lottery crap has always been awful.

I hope the update data on the 12th shows us something useful.
The odds of a 1 in 500 chance happening twice is 1 in 25,000. I don’t think there are even 25k players left in the whole game.
It's actually 1/250,000, but that's only the odds of it having consecutively. There are probably a few hundred weapons already out there in the wild (someone could tally the rank 1 prize counts), so twice that in marbles every run. More likely than not someone would get one this bonanza, even if you rule out doubling up on marbles.
Once you've won, why would you keep buying marbles.
Yes because clearly there is only a single good weapon there and no one in this game has more than one job.
Are you actually stupid? Consider for a moment the insanity of your statement. "Those who won don't need to buy again". Even IF that were true, which it isn't, you're accounting for less than 1% of the game population. Why would SE decide that catering to this fractional subgroup of people who have a weapon on their main character rather than LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE WHO HASN'T WON ***?
I won a rank 1 a few years ago on an alt and it quickly became my bard alt for 15 minute songs. I am fairly certain that this same mule will win again but… the Iris will be for weapons only! >_<
