Gear cap increases 5 levels higher than your Veng Level. So V16 opens R21, V19 opens R24 etc
Are you sure? You didn't need V10 win to upgrade to R15.
V19 stays at r20 for items
V19 may be worth it for RP at least (assuming reports saying that their HP didn't increase were accurate). At that point it might just be some stat boosts and maybe extra -DT on some of them, assuming it all scales linearly between V levels abd isn't just applied in big chunks.

Maybe I am confusing the Veng level cap increasing by 5 then. It must be tiered as:
clear : augment level Veng 0 : Rank 15 Veng 15: Rank 20 Veng 20: Rank 25 So from Lehuhu's comment, V25 clear would open up R30 when that gets unlocked. Guess that means you only need to bother clearing V20 once, then you can farm V19s if none of the bosses summon adds. Slightly less RP than R20 but no annoying add to deal with edit: yah what Proth said V19 Gogmagog seemed the same at v15 went in with mnk,brd,geo and trust and had no problems. Got 693 RP if i remember

That is a pretty good amount actually. Most likely people will do V20 on their A-team jobs then go down 1-2 vengeance levels to avoid add until better strats are found.
There's one caveat with that; for maximum efficiency on segments, you'd want to do 2 V20s after the NM you're focusing on for RP to boost an amplifier for the next round, and doing a V19 slightly poisons your charge, making the difference pretty small.
V20 x3 charged amp, getting V20 to <75% then leaving = 5720 RP (or even just getting it to <95% = 5649 RP) V19 + V20 x2 charged amp, killing V19 = 5976 RP Clearing V19 is still slightly more, but it's much harder to kill a V19 than to simply get a V20 to RP range. so can do v19 all mobs and farm v19 bumba?

Just beat shark v20 MNK WHM RDM BRD COR SMN.
Basic mewing strat, make sure the backline isnt all standing together and give them tact/macc rolls after start, rdm debuffs and deals with add, smn volt strikes and mews, mnk uses howling/tornado. Took a few tries, bad luck with verve can mess things up, had one try time out at 1% cause of atk down aura. Honor march minx3 scherzo, ea shiva tp ifrit warcry, sam and chaos rolls, kept auspice up to top of mnk subtle. Bahamut.Lexouritis

Beat V20 Shark as well, but used MNK WHM RDM BRD COR GEO.
MNK: Hybrid DT-Capped Subtle Blow. Penance, Shell Crusher start. Shijin for Plauge. Empy Weapon, Impetus/VS spam, Footwork-Tornado Kick. WHM: Cureskin on MNK/GEO. Standard Pro/Shell V, Boost-STR, Barwatera, Barsleepra, Auspice, Regen 4. Stoneskin/Blink self. RDM: Immunobreak Slow/Paralyze II and Silence as well as Dia III at start. Sab on add spawn (WHM will have to tank it for a bit until Bind/Sleep land). Frazzle III lands easily on this add, can immunobreak sleep/bind and can save Stymie/Chainspell if really needed to resleep/bind. Make sure to stand 20 away from shark when managing it or chance shark can 1 shot you with Guillotine or Mayhem. Haste/Phalanx 2 MNK, WHM, GEO. Refresh 3 WHM. Gain-MND at start, can switch to Gain-INT for Sleep/Binds. Standard RDM self-buffs. BRD: Sing HM, Mad x1, Minuet x2, Scherzo. Be ready to WS if aura. COR: SAM/CHAOS rolls. Tact once MNK out of range to build up TP for COR/BRD for aura procs. Can toss in RUN roll for backline too. Light Shot Dia III. Wild Card/RD appropriately for MNK Chi-Blast/Mantra/Impetus/Footwork, GEO BOG/EA and a chance for BRD SV. GEO: Start with BOG + EA Geo-Fury, Indi-Barrier. Bolster after 75%. Stand opposite of the MNK but within range for bubble. Fought at the bottom of the stairs. MNK will pull after buff, and opens with Shell Crusher when in position. Will then switch to H2H, Shijin and then VS spam. Don't do actions on MNK or Shark until MNK is hitting with H2Hs. At 75% add will spawn, will run to WHM more than likely (or RDM after). Played both the RDM and WHM for this fight, and could tank the auto attacks from the Cracklaw fairly easy with -50PDT and cure-skining myself until it was dealt with. Also used Yngvi Choker on WHM idle/dt set seem to loose hate quicker from Cracklaw and Shark. After the add fight was pretty steady like V15 one. Cure-skin spam the GEO and MNK. It used verve once, had COR and BRD for trigger. Ended up with 2-3 minutes left on the fight. Offline

Why not use NITRO Lullaby II to resleep all those adds. They are immune?

It doesnt give the completely resists message but lullaby doesnt work anyway even with nitro. Have to assume its just misprogrammed on giving full resist message.

Immunobreaking Bind/Sleep and rotating them worked well, and you have chainspell for fast reimmunobreaks and styime is 100% to land sleep for back up. Worst part would be if it verved multiple times and removes all the debuffs on the add over and over again but high chance its a wipe if it does it 3 times or more. Did he record his logs to see if he got any "Plague wears off" messages? It's unlikely that it worked since Plague is fire element, but it's better to be sure.
