Anything is possible in theory, but I don't think we have any evidence that the game tracks whether you have completed Hunts or Trial of the Magians mini-quests.

I'm very much hoping they do not count, as there's so many branching path ones you'd basically have to redo work 2x-4x over and over again for different end results. The game definitely is aware of which ones you have active on your char, but like you said there's no proof it remembers completion once done so there's the hope that they don't count.

That was the original reason I decided not to try and do them all, since they weren't present in any menus or logs showing completion and the NPC doesn't seem to have any indicators. But I suppose it could be hidden character data server-side, like some other random things such as chocobo digging rank.

In your case Kayte, I've seen your title list, it's like 6 remaining, so don't even waste your time with Magic Trials until you've exhausted every quest (title AND non-title), RoE and such. (SE can't exactly quantify them in uniform way, given that Trials were added to create shortcuts later on, like Limininal/Devious items and Empyrean WS unlocks, trials for JSE Torques, job emotes, etc). It's much more likely that SE gave us 1 point (1 Title) for having completed any Magic Trials at all, which sounds paltry. Given that I ranked up from a Portal Charm and RanoutofSpace ranked up from Scooped, I suspect the array of conditions for a Rank Up, is probably a long bitfield that gets AND()'ed together to create the True/False condition for a Rank-Up. I can already picture SE just grepping all of the Quest NPCs in a given region and calling that a Rank-Up.

TLDR: If Magian Trials assisted in any Rank Ups whatsoever, I would have gotten to Rank 8, much sooner.

Edit: Did you do the Promyvion Memosphere / Anima-enhancing quests? I don't think those give titles, but rather you need to find an NPC Interaction that results in Fanfare music.

I don't know about "anima-enhancing" but it sounds like the quest Empty Memories and the process for getting Promyvion maps are being conflated.

It doesn't give a title, and progress is stored on your MMM Members card so might not count, but I have done it so you never know!

PS. I got Ballistager and Extremely Discerning, which puts me at 27 missing titles per Kaytes addon:

14 Guild point titles
5 Mog Garden
3 Master Trials
2 MMM
1 Fishing
1 Brown Mage
1 Consort candidate (Male character)

Medal of Altana still needed for me to hit 9. When I get close to any of these or finishing shield I will give up my medal again to test the tipping point.

Where is medal of altana located in the menus? Temp key items?

Gotta grind out a bunch of new temp or perma key items you don't have and see if you can make up for those medal points

I did it before I left, and the only painful ones to get are probably the level 30 jse for each race. Gotta camp the AH. And maybe nq austere a pain if you're not that craft

Yeah, Medal's technically a temporary key item (after all, you lose it when you change nations even with Rhapsody KIs)

I did start going through the list of perm KIs on the wiki at one point, and found a bunch of Adoulin HELM ones I was missing ("Conservative Chop" etc) I was buying the lower tier GP KIs too, but stopped for a bit to work on crafting shield.


Hard to say on airship, as this character has been around since it was the mode of travel so I would have done the quest before. I have been doing it once an in game day for the different character model cycles in case it was that, and have done it ~60 times recently. (edit - I already had Very discerning before the 60 new tries)

So, on the topic of Campaign Ops. Not sure how it is on other servers but on Bahamut it is incredible rare for Sandy to lose anyone of its 5 home zones outside of Eldieme. My guess is because they have better NPC defending forces and attacking enemy NPCs can be extremely dumb and get stuck in limbo a lot.

Now the issue is that makes access to Hawkeye 1-3 and Slaughterhouse 1-3 for Sandy impossible if Orcs can’t take control of Vunkerl or Batallia. The solution to this problem is some good ol’ Train MPKing or I guess MNKing as the allied NPC can’t report for me griefing.

Small video of what I have been doing the last couple days to get Sandy to lose the zone. I don’t let them attack inside because the defending force always has greater numbers unless multiple Orc attacks start at same time. Combat AI is also extremely poor if allowed to behave on its own preferring to attack the fortification at all costs even if being attacked by Allied NPCs.

I also recommend burning all Resources by buying temp items with tags repeatedly until unable to do so which will put the counter to 0. I noticed the defending forces were in lower numbers, and they retreated earlier when depleted. Hopefully helpful to others on their quest to 82/82 for Sandy.

Got Blobdingnag & Yilbean Titles but did not rank up.
Starting on outlands quest next.

Still 6. I must be missing something obvious but at this point its comical.

Did you buy 1 piece of armor for each Nation rank1-10 (x3 nations = 30 titles in total)? Make sure you buy an actual armor, like head/body/hands/legs or feet. I'm not sure if every item in a given rank counts. Better safe than sorry.

Also, did you trade Kupipi a rolanberry? Even the quests that are not in your quest log count, too.

If you mean the turnins from the various ENM fights, I maybe turned in a couple for shits and giggles? I've done every ENM at least once but obviously inventory-1 for rewards so usually dropped. If you meant the map mini-quests, yes I have every map KI in the game.


Yes, in the process of the (so far) 500 mazes, I have done every maze type and gotten every rune and customization, including using the member's card to fight and kill every boss up to and including the ixion. It's actually the one I grind the mazes on now too so my kill count on it is probably around 200 or so.


I have every permanent KI in the game that's available and non-exclusive except for like two orchestrion rolls (which I do try for on tablets every now and then when I can). I do have an absurd amount of temporary ones as well, and every single boss/pop trigger for things like abyssea/geas fete/etc. Most of the armor ones but didn't feel like redoing the AF quests extra times heh.


It's exactly 100 completions, that simple. I took a screenshot of every NPC and have exactly 100 of them, and I made sure not to do every race and face just so I could prove those weren't needed.


I think those KIs are only purchasable during their active mission/quest, and Arciela's is missable as well. Magian might be depending on levels? I have all four of those, but the tentacle ticket was limited time event only. That and the sheet of shadow lord tunes are the only likely 100% unavailable permanent KIs.

There's also a few orch rolls that were only old bonanza prizes that never came back again, but maybe some day they'll be added to the login points or something.

I didn’t buy armor just snagged the first item on the list to obtain the titles. Is there any reason to get the armor over the others or your intent is just for the titles?
