Does Fox News have anyone that didn't participate in the rape culture Roger Ailes built?
So, guilty until proven innocent again?
Haven't you guys learned your lesson from the last few times? Not much point to having money and power if you can't use it to exploit women with it.
Never a surprise when another one comes out. It's only surprising when one doesn't. Asura.Kingnobody said: » So, guilty until proven innocent again? And they're super giddy about people they don't like getting cancelled for sexual harassment but are 100% willing to vote for a guy being accused of sexual assault. Both options are rapists, 100% of americans have to vote for a rapist if they chose to vote and have it matter.

There is no "lesson to learn" here, Fox News has lost what, 6 men since Ailes got outed for running his own private sex network, as recently as two weeks ago. They are all a bunch of scumbags, but deflect away. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/07/20/fox-news-sexual-assault-lawsuit-373674
Quote: Fox News denied the allegations against its hosts in a statement: “Based on the findings of a comprehensive independent investigation conducted by an outside law firm, including interviews with numerous eyewitnesses, we have determined that all of Cathy Areu’s claims against FOX News, including its management as well as its hosts Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity & Howard Kurtz and its contributor Gianno Caldwell, are false, patently frivolous and utterly devoid of any merit. “We take all claims of harassment, misconduct and retaliation seriously, promptly investigating them and taking immediate action as needed — in this case, the appropriate action based on our investigation is to defend vigorously against these baseless allegations. Ms. Areu and Jennifer Eckhart can pursue their claims against Ed Henry directly with him, as FOX News already took swift action as soon as it learned of Ms. Eckhart’s claims on June 25 and Mr. Henry is no longer employed by the network.“ So probably something with Ed Henry considering Fox fired him. We'll see what happens next. Perhaps Tucker pulling in like 4M viewers a night also has something to do with him being on the list too Viciouss said: » There is no "lesson to learn" here, Fox News has lost what, 6 men since Ailes got outed for running his own private sex network, as recently as two weeks ago. They are all a bunch of scumbags, but deflect away. I mean, it's not even a Fox thing at this point. The upper tiers of media across all stripes are packed to the gills with this crap. Matt Lauer had a button installed in his desk to lock the door! (Who let him do that in the first place, honestly) So it's not just Fox. Anyone who is surprised about any of this, or feigning disbelief, is either not paying attention, or cheerleading. It's everywhere. Get used to hearing about it, because these stories will never, ever, stop coming out. Cruz Missive said: » My opinion on the idea that there are a lot of dems who should go to prison stems from the many fake scandals that have arose in the past few years. Since taking office, they are under oath of office, and many of them have abused them. Then again, so have the Republicans, but that's not my point. I'm also talking about those who selectively leak classified information to the press (Schiff, Pelosi, Cummings, Schumer, to name a few) as an example. You can see it in full view during the Russian investigation and the resulting political impeachment. Unfortunately, they are only held to the standards of their constituents, and their constituents not only condone such behavior, in some cases (AOC for example) they voted for them on the sole basis of being just that, corrupt and negligant. Let's not forget all of the campaign finance fraud that happens a lot from the left (again, AOC, Pelosi, Schumer, Omar, Talib to name a few). Under normal circumstances they would have been called out and at least fined, if not arrested. Then you have Hilary Clinton, the one who believes she is above the law. There is a lot of guilt shown by just those examples. All of them will never face a day in court, however. However, allegations made against Tucker, Carlson, etc. have not been proven, just brought up. Yet, some people here are already claiming that they are automatically guilty without even letting the story come out. Point is that there is a long history of fraud and corruption on the left (and right), but when something like this comes out, it's "believe the other person, *** those guys!" mindset that plagues some people.
I learned my lesson from the Covington fiasco. I will wait until the full story comes out before passing any judgement in the court of public opinion. Yes, after reading it again after posting, it was a tirade.
I'm tired, leave me alone! Also I like how Fox just threw Henry under the bus, like yeah he is guilty as ***, but take our word for it when we say these other guys "aren't."
Never mind that none of those 5 can even hold 1/5th of the audience that Tucker holds on a daily basis.

Yes, there is sexual harassment allegations against liberal and conservative politicians, liberal and conservative journalists, liberal and conservative celebrities.
Every accusation should be thoroughly investigated prior to their employers/congress taking any actions whatsoever (beyond perhaps paid suspension until the investigation is complete). Contrary to #metoo, not ALL women can be trusted. (or men, but men aren't typically waiving around sexual assault accusations). Also, as a society, we need a more rigid and universal definition of sexual assault/harassment, being that right now, we just let the individual make up their own interpretation of how an interaction, "felt." And as we know, when you involve feelings, facts tend to get brushed aside. There is a major difference between being finger assaulted by Biden and having a picture taken with Al Franken doing the, "grope from a distance" thing. Although that too is very unprofessional, one was taken much more seriously than the other due to their positions. Not due to the accusation. Offline

She's so annoying WAPO even dumped her, why she had to go to Fox. Super shocked she accused men of sexual harassment. She's one of those types who probably think a male colleague asking her if she wanted to grab some lunch is sexual harassment. Shouldn't he have uh, a lot more viewers than that? Cuz 4m is uh..not even a really bad NBA game. idk~ google search says like 850k - 1.5M ish views per game is the average for NBA. and when the NBA was in full swing there was multiple games going on ~ wasn't there a drop in viewership in 2019 or something? idk not really a sportsball person. but if the average game is pulling in 1.5M viewers and tucker is pulling 4M per night, those aren't bad numbers for an idiot https://deadline.com/2020/06/tucker-carlson-tonight-draws-record-4-3-million-viewers-in-2q-amid-all-time-highs-for-fox-news-channel-1202974105/ Quote: Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson Tonight drew a record 4.331 million viewers in the second quarter and 791,000 in the 25-54 demo, making it the number one program in all of cable news among both total viewers and demo for the first time since launch, according to the network and Nielsen Media Research. This comes as Fox News Channel wrapped the second quarter of 2020 with the largest audience in network history in both total day and primetime Viciouss said: » volkom said: » https://www.politico.com/news/2020/07/20/fox-news-sexual-assault-lawsuit-373674 Quote: ... There are more basketball nerds who will watch anything that includes dribbling than viewers of Tucker Carlson's white power hour. This should not be a surprise. its not a surprise there's more people who would watch someone chase a ball and throw it good. just pointing out a fact that he gets more views per show than the NBA does per game unless the numbers are wrong and you find a conflicting source volkom said: » idk~ google search says like 850k - 1.5M ish views per game Not that any of this is apples to apples, but the majority of NBA games are only carried on local cable affiliates. There's only a handful of "national" games a week, and they typically sit in the 4M+ range depending on which network they're on (ESPN/ABC is highest, followed by TBS/TNT, and down the line). There's also League Pass subscribers, which aren't included in those numbers at all. Finals games pull 14-15M+, but that's a special event, obviously. Even then, it depends on the teams playing.
I highly doubt the Spurs/Hornets game will pull as many people as Warriors/Lakers would. When you are talking about national showings, not local.

Tucker is already national; there aren't multiple broadcasts. On any given night in the season there are 6-10 NBA games, which ends up aggregating to 10M+ viewers. Again, professional sports are not an apples to apples comparison to political commentary, but if the question is about pure number of eyeballs, the NBA demolishes him. It's not even particularly close. Asura.Kingnobody said: » Damn you edit button! |
