Don't fret, those 17 people who died will be part of the number of people killed by police. Cause, you know, larger numbers make larger protests.

Bottom line, you twist everything I say. I said, again, it's math...you create more conflicts, you create more opportunity for things to go bad. For some reason you can't get this fact through your thick skull.

And so all the people (17 now according to the last couple of posters) that have now died as a result of this outrage were killed by "peaceful" protesters? Get real. They're all mixed in there. You don't get to just claim the good ones with your "event" and dismiss the bad ones. So far I haven't seen any evidence that the murderers have been, white supremicists killing cops just to make the protesters look bad as the news would like you all to think.

But you talk about empathy then constantly ignore the fact that the many, many who have died, that most never committed a heinous crime in their life, didn't deserve to die over the selective outrage over the death of a career criminal. JUST because cops didn't kill them.

And lastly, if this wasn't a media driven selective outrage event, if the community really cared about all the police brutality that goes on every day, they wouldn't wait for just these "camel straw" incidents to protest. And if they really need a video clip to make them "recall" that this topic is suddenly the most important thing in the world, then maybe people need to stop being lemmings and stick to things that they claim to find so important. People who rescue animals don't just do it when they see a story about an abused stray, they do it every day of their lives because it's actually important to them. All you temporary protesters only find this important for a couple weeks, then you are onto the next fad pushed by your media.

Let's be fair about this though.

The people who were killed were not by the peaceful protesters, but by the looters and rioters.

Let's call apples...apples, and oranges...oranges.

There are 2 groups of people who are out in the streets "protesting". Group A are the real, honest protesters for Floyd and against police brutality. Group B are the looters, thugs, and rioters who only want to cause discord and steal stuff.

LoH is in the Group A. S/He is forgiving the actions of Group B because it supports Group A's cause. Let's at least get the story straight.

There's a movement in favor of that direction happening, no doubt. The problem is that the soundbyte version fits about 4 different agendas, varying from full dismantling of law enforcement to restructuring. But they're gonna end up all lumped together and viewed the same, which will in the long run destroy the movement.

Here in Brasil they are desperately looking for any accident that can be related to any form of racism so they can throw this agende on us.

Really desperate. The other day, there was an accident where a black kid fall from the window and they blamed it to nanny negligence. The nanny was white so they tried to associate this with racism but they werent sucessfull as in this situation, the nanny was clearly in the submited side.

Plus daily we have been reading racist episode people faced... like 2 or 3 years ago.

This is totally not natural. Im not saying we dont have this kind of problem, but aside most part of population is considered "brown", there is nothing to actually create comotion. Its just because US are facing this problem that they think we brazillian must face it too... lame.

I think they should make clear what they want.

Saying you want the end of racism or equity among all people by rioting or tossing in the others face how much youre pissed about a situation just wont result in anything but anger and distrust.

Also, why those guys are speaking in name of everyone? Every person is an individual, im sure most want to live in peace and have no problem with others people from other skin color. They are just dragged toward this and will receive distrust despite aggreeing or not with this situation.

Finally, at least someone better to fight for. Or was Floyd any saint or martir? People are using his body to set on fire the society. Most dont even care about who he was in life. His value is solely his death.
