Domain Invasion Rotation
In the NA update notes they listed.
"The Domain Invasion rotation is Escha - Zi’Tah > Escha – Ru’Aun > Reisenjima > Escha Ru’Aun, repeating indefinitely." It's really Escha - Zi’Tah > Escha – Ru’Aun > Reisenjima repeating. At least this may help people get beads, and those last items from the dragons they needed.
Bismarck.Snprphnx said: » At least this may help people get beads, and those last items from the dragons they needed. it made beads much harder to get from dragons, given there's only one spawn per 14 minutes instead of 3 spawns per 16-20min now and they're dying incredibly fast. Best case beforehand was about 9-10k beads an hour if all 3 mobs were dying in a nice rotation and you were capping beads. Best case now is 444 beads an hour, if you have all your spoils vorseals and make it to all 4 dragons(you might be able to push it up to 1-2k/hr if you have good crits and your server isn't all holding tp to ws the second it pops). Once it dies down some, all the DI gear will make soloing it much easier for everyone and potentially help get beads, but still likely worse than before for anyone with even a baseline of competence. Got this message, then this happened. Dev's don't play the game at a current average end game players perspective from the looks at all these micro updates and micro instance battles. All we get content wise are small ambuscade puzzles, instanced timed fights and nerfs on old content to make it noob friendly so everyone can be at the same achievement level and rewards based on skill and time merit mean nothing any longer.

On Asura it's gonna be a pain lol How are we supposed to unlock blessings now?
I believe they'll unlock permanently based on the number of dragons killed on each server.
If I had to guess, they unlock after a certain number of kills.
Quote: Domain Effects A perpetual Domain effect will be applied to each area based on the total number of times a notorious monster has been slain in that area. This affect applies to all characters in the area. * The running tally of notorious monsters slain will be calculated for each world, and the counter will begin to increment once the version update has gone live. * This counter will not reset during server maintenances. On Asura it's gonna be a pain lol Even on Cerberus it's dead too fast to farm beads at a reasonable rate. I guess this helps people who couldn't farm beads AT ALL because they were too weak to kill a dragon. WTF do those people need beads for though... Right, but is it because nobody currently wanted them or because nobody was able to do them? They aren't hard to solo for anyone who can reasonably attempt aeonic, and even then, the people doing aeonic with you need beads too. A group of three could have easily cycled the three dragons for 4-5 kills an hour at capped beads. Now, absolute best case scenario, if interest dies down, you can get 4-5k beads an hour. The same as a half competent trio would've gotten before, and barely half what a group maximizing could have gotten. It only helped people who couldn't kill a dragon at all, and those people honestly have no business doing aeonics anyway.. they're just buying mercs. That said, I still think it's an overall good thing and having an alternative path to reis/ruaun gear is going to be very helpful to newer or returning players. They just could have done it without wrecking them as a source of beads. No blessings on Asura atm either :/

While you could still get beads that way on Quet, it left a lot of players that needed drops or vorseals from the other two out of luck unless they could convince other people to help or were willing to spend multiple spawns worth of time to kill them once (in the case of Naga Raja). Not sure on #/kills, but Leviathan got Temperance in all 3 zones as well(and is likely around the same number of total kills, I haven't been able to get into unity chat today). So, likely fixed order and kills. Bahamut.Celebrindal

1. So if the system is designed to NOT reset with server maintenance, I'm curious how long SE has planned (number of kills) to get all the blessings up. It used to be common practice among higher groups and merc groups (in a sense, groups just used to doing aeonics) to get all the blessings up a day prior to starting an aeonic run, or if you were using T3 zi'tah kills to farm beads, to kill the dragon just enough to get double bead blessing. So those two "short term" perks are now out the window in lieu of permanent blessings once we've hit that point?
2. Will we see merc groups/bots start to offer to farm beads on constant T3 spam once that double bead blessing is back up in perpetuity? (they may already offer such things, just haven't seen/heard of it) 3. Can we hope for some kind of scaling to be introduced, even if its just extra HP above a single party (since the bonuses end at single party) to extend the duration of the encounters/increase bead return? Or do y'all think this is just it. Anyone know how much HP the dragons have?
They really should have just left all three dragons spawning independently and that alone would help a great deal.
Jdove said: » Shiva.Xelltrix said: » They really should have just left all three dragons spawning independently and that alone would help a great deal. The dragons don't fly anymore and the people who want to rotate would still rotate which is far better than cutting down the amount of active dragons by two thirds. Absolutely horrible for beads and it makes the domain points far slower. People who want to cap out their dailies fast would go to all three dragons or have a higher chance of getting 80 points since the amount of people would either be divided by three since everyone's working on different dragons, or just have a higher chance since people would finish up earlier. And bots can literally bot just as easy as before. In fact, easier, since they don't even have to engage to get points, they can just sit in one zone and rejoin every 30 minutes. Or even make a script to go from zone to zone which I can't imagine would be very difficult. There's no benefit to having shared respawns on the dragons at all outside of forcing everyone to provide vorseals for new players I guess, but it's not like the pool of new players is exactly big... Prepatch, they were independent, but had 1 hour repop time, so the most kills you could get was 3 per hour (but less because they didn't die instantly when they pop. Now they rotate, but have 15 minute repops instead, so you actually get more dragons than before. |
