Dem Dems aiming at 2020
Seems a little sketchy that Pete would drop out right before Super Tuesday after winning two states. I wonder if the DNC is twisting arms to concentrate the "moderate" vote against Sanders.

I'm not sure how to finish the joke but it ends with a lot of crying and baby oil.

Remember how I keep saying that the political elite control the election by controlling the candidates, yeah perfect example right here. Trump broke the elites and now they going for broke. I wonder if the DNC is twisting arms to concentrate the "moderate" vote against Sanders. He only won one state. It was a delegate tie in New Hampshire, so he technically won two. But anyway... *puts on conspiracy cap*... due to Pete’s younger age, he was able to broker a deal with the DNC where he is the next “Chosen One”. He falls on his sword now, they work with the media to boost his image, he walks into the next nomination with the red carpet laid out like Clinton did. Either lining him up for 2024, or have a nice job set aside for him if they do win. Offline

If you ignore the delegate count so far and look at the votes, the moderates combined have about twice the votes that Warren and Bernie have. Will it work? No idea. Hope you are stocked up on popcorn for super Tuesday. Garuda.Chanti said: » Bahamut.Ravael said: » Seems a little sketchy that Pete would drop out right before Super Tuesday after winning two states. Hope you are stocked up on popcorn for super Tuesday. Strategic withdrawal for who, though? The way I see it, you run for President because you want to be President. It requires a certain amount of narcissism. You start to think about the party and the viability of other candidates when you run out of money or you run out of hope. Pete wasn’t there on either count. The only thing that makes sense is what I was saying before. South Carolina had record setting turnout this weekend, and Buttigieg got routed, and was poised to get routed again on Super Tuesday. As we pointed out a few weeks ago, he had almost no support in the black community, and the primary proved that. Can't win the nomination without that demographic. He is a practical person, he doesn't have any interest in Elizabeth Warren's rhetoric about a contested convention, so he got out.

I don't think Pete Boot Edge Edge was necessarily a bad candidate.
But I'm guessing he was running hoping to be a VP. Offline

The Democratic party is far to white rich and privileged for me to be associated with them.
Can you imagine being lectured by an old white guy Joe Biden about "woke" issues ? |
