It was a delegate tie in New Hampshire, so he technically won two.
But anyway... *puts on conspiracy cap*... due to Pete’s younger age, he was able to broker a deal with the DNC where he is the next “Chosen One”. He falls on his sword now, they work with the media to boost his image, he walks into the next nomination with the red carpet laid out like Clinton did.

If you ignore the delegate count so far and look at the votes, the moderates combined have about twice the votes that Warren and Bernie have.
Will it work? No idea. Hope you are stocked up on popcorn for super Tuesday.

Strategic withdrawal for who, though? The way I see it, you run for President because you want to be President. It requires a certain amount of narcissism. You start to think about the party and the viability of other candidates when you run out of money or you run out of hope. Pete wasn’t there on either count. The only thing that makes sense is what I was saying before.
South Carolina had record setting turnout this weekend, and Buttigieg got routed, and was poised to get routed again on Super Tuesday. As we pointed out a few weeks ago, he had almost no support in the black community, and the primary proved that. Can't win the nomination without that demographic. He is a practical person, he doesn't have any interest in Elizabeth Warren's rhetoric about a contested convention, so he got out.
Who would have thought 2 old white men would be the odds on favorite to take on trump ?
