What about the horsefaced lesbians !
Apparently Mike Bloomberg has support of lesbians probably the biggest voting block in the country.
The major cause of homelessness is rising rents and property values. Many of the homeless are actually employed. There is a subset of the homeless that lives in reasonably fancy fully operational RVs. Another subset are unemployable.
A secondary cause is lack of funds on every level to do anything about it. And while I would like to blame this on Trump I can't. Federal funding for homelessness is almost non extant due to lack of any program meant to address it.
California has a special (as is short bus special) problem because their voters limited property tax increases. This means whatever the state wants to do, there isn't near enough revenue to do it. Other stated merely have a revenue shortfall, California has a revenue disaster.

If my only options were jail or to be homeless jail sounds like a better choice. Meals being indoor etc.
That is a sad state of affairs that people have to live on the street.
