I'm seriously loving how we can have this level of fun, and the characters at the center of it can appreciate the funny without taking it personal. Another Bravo from me at least. Im dying from laughter, man you guys are gold. All of these are being saved also.

It is a matter of competence more than time. The actual repair to the issue takes minutes. One competent person could likely make a script to analyze their logs automatically in an hour or two. If they do it by hand, it will be a lot of work, but by gms or similar staff not coders.
If they are completely terrible at their jobs, a lot of this could change. Caerda said: » My question is how much money will this cost them to fix the game now? This is most likely something a couple expert coders are going to have to be involved in. Is this going to cause their 3 year plan to change since the revenue they get will now have to repair game instead of being used to develop new content? It's not nearly as complex to fix as you're thinking. If they go through logs by hand then it might take them a while to deal with people, but that's about it. |
