Just recently took a break myself. Was getting burned out doing the same stuff Omen, Dynaboring, Spambuscade. Still have plenty of goals to finish. There is so much content I really can't say I was ever truly bored. Just got burned out on the chore content.

Lack of inventory space has been the largest headache. So many jobs to play. Everytime I get rid/replace one thing I end up getting x2 more gear lol. They keep adding gear but give no solution to the inventory issue besides muling constantly or mog slips.

Played ffxiv on an off for a few years but it never filled the gap of ffxi playstyle. Not sure if any other game will to be honest. Have plenty of real life stuff to fill the gap. But yea when you have played/invested years into something like ffxi you feel like it is part of you and can be hard to just quit.

Whatever SE is planning in 2 years plus is a long wait. SE's main issue to me it they never have communicated well to the community unless your on the Japanese side. So maybe if they just gave some insight to what they are planning would give some spark. Changing Ambuscade every month isn't something that I look forward too. Which just shoves everyone in Mhaura every month and creates a cluster fck.

On the fence I guess. Was never really expecting much content after ROV. Regardless om my opinion I can see why others still play and why they quit.

I found that paying for the game using Crysta really helps you stop. Automatically re-subbing using a credit card was half the reason I kept playing-- I felt obligated to play since it was automatically paid for.

I'd bet that in todays ffxi you could do what he did until you broke your keyboard in half from spamming and not get banned.

Unless you said *** occasionally while you did it. It'd take 3 hours just to get a GM to respond and people give up long before that.

Why manually do that when you can just setup repeater to do it for you

I left the game for a while When XIV came out, Several years actually. Playing another game doesn't stop you. Do not totally delete the account in case you want to come back.

FFXIV just is too easy and content only takes a few days to complete and does not fill up my time, that is one of the reasons I come and go.

I have come and gone several times but now I pretty much may only comeback when the games is free just to say hi. If the price was lower I might just stay subbed but there is not enough content to justify the price.

FFXI though has changed to much for me now. It really has become allot like FFXIV. In the day FFXI was so much better than FFXIV will ever be.

If you need to ask how to quit you probably are not ready to quit.

It is hard to give up something that has been a huge part of your life. I met my real life girlfriend gaming with her and a few others for years in FFXI. One day she was traveling and coming close to where I live so we thought it would be cool to just have dinner and we have now been together for like 8 years. We bought a house together several years ago.
