I'm sure it was such a comfort to Otto Warmbier's family when Trump got up there and said he had such respect for the man that murdered him and believed his denial. Whats up with Trump's inability to stand up to human rights violators?

Overall it was a good thing, diplomatic contacts of this level haven't been seen in a very long time. We're all focused on US-NK relations when it's really the SK-NK ones that matter the most and have been progressively getting better.

Kim offered to totally dismantle one nuke production facility in exchange for a total lifting of sanctions. We, and by that I mean Trump, pointed out that he had more nuke production facilities. The norks were surprised that we had that level of intelligence.

So I think it highly probable that Trump actually listened to briefings from our intelligence agencies and not from Putin.

I consider this a promissing sign.
