Curious to see how people would rank the different damage dealing jobs according to best damage output. No restrictions on gear; looking for the very best.
I know right now everyone is all "sam sam sam" but I think a pimped out WAR trumps it. Also BLM is up there somewhere.

It really depends on what you're looking to do. Nothing beats DRK on 30sec-1minute zerg. Ranger out DDs a lot of jobs on HNM and jailers in sea. Merit parties its usually all about sam and war. I don't think you can say one DD is better than any other in every situation. Overall though, if you are interested in end game, I think ranger and samurai would be the best DDs to level.
I agree with Tbest. There are times where a certain role / damage type is more ideal or would hold a better advantage. It all depends on the application. =)

This. Are you going for damage over time? With what support? On what kind of enemies? Do you care about the tp your giving the mobs?
That being said with the exception of multihit weapon drks I will take good ranged epeen dmg over melee and smaller attacks any day on HNMs. I don't need them tping all over my face. So mostly blms or schs some occasions smns and mostly to set up skillchains sams

still don't understand...Chainspell = run out of mp faster....and over time...Refresh isn't gonna let you nuke that much longer...SCH gets Sublimation...and 1/2 mp cost Strats....but I'm not gonna turn this forum into another "XXX vs SCH" :)

Guess what rdms can /sch too. Also you ever try chainspell drain? It is rediculous /sch. But yes sch will do more dmg but not last as long and blm will do even more but not last as long

Yea it's of ranking what DD jobs you think are best.
idk, i can bust out 5.5k+ damage in less than 10 seconds as rng on anything worth anything. assuming i can start with TP: 1500+ sidewinder, 1500+ barrage, 1500+ sidewinder, 1k+ EES.
