My drg needs a bit of work still, I'll admit, which is why i mentioned the fact that I've beaten drgs w/ gear better than mine. (I still need ares legs for my ws build, just picked up heca cap like less than a week ago)

which proves my point sam > all the gear in the world

Ok... you have 50% double attack for the first minute, 40% for the second, 30% for the third, then you reuse the JA and have 50% again. You still average 40% full time.

Also, our "DD dnc" Toth repeatedly parses every time they let him come to limbus

I don't like DNC in endgame. At all.

Of all DD jobs, DNC does the least amount of damage per-hit and subsequently gives some of the most TP per hit.

But a dnc doesn't have to hit a mob at all to spot-heal a party and debuff the target, they just can't apply sambas. Also, DNC has a stun with a 20 second CD that, after you have gear for, rarely gets resisted. That's what i'm used for in sky usually.

Dnc/Sam is used endgame. You have 75 tp no-foot rise meditate, 60 tp meditate from /sam, reverse flourish to use once you land 2-3 debuffs to recover 60-75 tp every 30 secs.

No you don't.

Also you typically use fan dance when doing this so you take less damage. First hit you take is reduced by 90%... The other day i took a 50 damage thousand needles solo with fan dance and a couple reduce damage pieces.

Yea but then its pointless on endgame mobs. If you're not meleeing for TP, all the TP you get from just JAs are going to be used curing yourself from the AoE you are getting hit by now that you're not /nin

Read the post above yours. Aoe's don't hurt us for much.

And Dasva, 2 rdm's can't stack debuffs. A rdm and a dnc can stack them though.

DNC has instacast cures, which really helps if you have good reaction time. Nothing sucks more than just barely surviving Astral Flow, then getting hit and dying anyway because the RDM took too long to cure you.

Too bad you can only use them on people in your direct party.

So, you're only going to be getting hit w/ 1 AoE in between fan dances?

I typically spot heal the main tank. Our cure 5 dance has a 17 second recast though. Mainly we're there for stuns, debuffs, and removing status ailments though.

I hardly think your fan dance is going to save your hide for 5 minutes in endgame situations.

90% reduced first hit
80% second
70% third
Down to 20% reduced on 8th hit, where it remains.

Usually i take 4 or 5 AoE's before i can recast it.

It's usually our job to stun the AoE Magic attacks.

Dnc's stun is highly unreliable. You're better letting the mages do it.

Not with the gear for it. Magic accuracy as well as the DNC relic body. You can land them almost every time.

Almost every time won't cut it. Dnc is good for a back up stun, but it is not something i would put in a stun rotation and put full faith in.

Stun isn't 100% either. I've been resisted with it maybe twice since i got my equipment build for it.

Also, stutter step lowers magic evasion by 25% when you max it out. This is what we usually use (for the blm's nukes and so rdm's can land enfeebles) and it also helps us land our stun A LOT.

While stun isn't 100%, it is still more reliable than dnc stun (and I have dnc 75 w/ relic body ect, so i'm not just pulling this out of my ***)

Is that all you wear for violent flourish accuracy? Both magic accuracy and melee accuracy effect it. Your stun build should have these in every single slot as possible.

This has nothing to do with damage dealing anymore.

Lol.
