There are many of us who prefer the older era of the game.

We all know the expansions to FFXI, including Rise of the Zilart and beyond, have destroyed the original fun of the game. The game was much more interesting when we had a LVL 50 cap and we didn't have to worry about HNMs and Relics, etc.

So, let's all sign a petition to grab SE's attention in "Making FFXI Great Again!"

I wonder if there is a way to siphon the .dat files off the PS2 jp beta disc and create a DarkstarProject fork from it.

Wouldn't really need to, unless there's exclusive client files that just changing the otherwise known data wouldn't suffice.

for one the zone and mob data was changed quite a bit between the jp ps2 beta and the first full retail release. I don't think we have Asphodel and Batallia Skewer Sam's data in our current files.
