Really though a htb wyrnkings descend would be great, even got new wyrms/adds to throw into the mess if they dont care about the original and throw in zilant/sajj'aka to the mix

They just make the fight ilevel and increase the rewards. Being hopeful here, but would be awesome. It's not quite in Monarch Linn, but they could move the fight to the Linn if they wanted to.

Didn't the survey from players indicate people wanted to see more HTBF-styled fights brought back (I think they commented on this when CoD was introduced). This would be a great one, and would fill the need for those 18-player statics that are so disappointed in not being able to bring their mules friends.

Not sure if Asura population is dropping yet. Was 3100 on last night when it has been 3400-3500 at times. 2900 on right now which is the lowest I've ever seen, but it's early.

It's not without precedent that Chaos/Bahamut master trial came out 1st, then at a later date the Bahamut HTMB could come out. I know when I make this wish (please Square...) publicly most people immediately point out that Wings of War exists as if that somehow proves that they'll never let us fight Bahamut again.

Not saying you're doing that, but just throwing out the common inverse opinion with a rebuttal to show that it's definitely on the table. The only limiting factor is how much Dev activity they can spare while their simultaneously working on Limbus and Besieged. Its CERTAINLY hopium to expect anything more, let alone regular updates to limbus/besieged. The only reason its being discussed is this bizarre mention of Monarch Linn out of left field

Why are they discussing Bahamut at length? (HTMB inc?)

IIRC, they mentioned that the guy who designs the HTBFs rarely works with the team anymore. He came back briefly and producer man wanted him to speed-run development on CoD, but mentioned not expecting anymore work from him anytime soon.

I can't find which interview I read this in though, so it might have been a fever dream. Fingers crossed.

You're right, and I'd love to see a Bahanut HTBF. From a resources prospective, it also makes sense. I don't know how much work it would be to tweak the stats & move set from the Wing of War Bahamut, but surely it would be less work than starting on a completely different boss that they haven't touched recently. I'm also stumping for a Provenance Watcher HTBF, but it seems less likely.

Anything with Bahamut is welcome. The 75 cap fight was pretty damn fun and epic with all the wyrms popping.

They already had an ilevel bahamut fight, which was the event that had the bahamut gear.
