The real reasons most people become politicians is porn star or thief were already taken !
They would just go to their houses, talk to their floating, spinning cotton ball in the middle of the room and change it from politician to Warrior. Or, dare I say, the rarest of those jobs, White Mage?

Actually porn stars are people too. Just like kickers in football they are valuable yet society chooses to ignore and neglect them. I won't stand for this ! I'm on a mission to make porn stars great again.

If you would have told me porn stars are going to church...I'm thinking of going again. I mean I can save my soul and meet a pron star. You can't get much better.

Too difficult to deny that you wouldn't be holding water for a Democrat in the same position, eh? Oh well.

On topic, the media has overplayed every single hand for over a year, so the end result will be that nobody freaking cares except for the people who already hate him. When everything is a big deal, nothing is a big deal.

Better check your privilege bro !

I rather have the plumber or beauty queen to write the laws

There was a Nancy Pelosi/Ms Lube Rack joke kinda subtly woven in there somewhere you may have missed....

also Markwayne Mullin is the plumber...his political career has been, shall we say, less than stellar... with a name like markwayne it has to be....

The school lunch thing is partly lazy school boards and largely underfunding.

As shocking as it may be to hear, Michelle did not have the ability to alter the government's budget for the department of education.

No, she doesn't have that power. Except, of course, through her husband during his tenure as president.

I mean, it was her initiative for Obama and the liberal/democrat Congress to pass Healthy and Hunger-Free Kids Act in 2010 (which, like everything else passed by the 111th Congress, is good intentions go completely wrong and ineffective. Hi2u ACA).

Can't help it if, like most other government welfare laws, it gets skewed into not helping the people it intended to help. Childhood obesity hasn't gone down since the law's passage. In fact, it has gone up.

So, yeah, good job there Michelle.

I thought that was video games that caused it.

And autism too. Along with those vaccines.

Yeah, two completely different arguments, and yet, in your reality, they are the same.

No wonder nobody takes you seriously.

Except not really? The issue was the entire thing was screwed by poor follow through on the government's part. Which Michelle only had influence over one part of.

Or are we going to pretend Obama had some control over the United States budget and intentionally screwed his wife's plan over?

Also, school defunding thanks to Dubyas NCLB dumbassery wasn't helping anything.

How are you even judging the law's efficacy? That CDC link says nothing about its impact.

....quick, somebody get this man/woman/whatever a government appropriations bill class.

Yes, Obama has a lot of control over the US budget. He signed his first proposed budget, slightly adjusted by Congress and then his second proposed budget, again slightly adjusted by Congress.

After the first of many shellackings his party has been receiving since he was president, there hasn't been a budget-oriented appropriations bill signed into law (just continuing resolutions for the last 6 years of Obama's term) since.

So, yes, Obama has a lot of power when it comes to the United States budgets. Not only does he provide the general framework of said budgets, but he also signs such budgets into law. That's...how government works.
