Dissidia: Final Fantasy

Yeah, came out Tuesday.

So far I'm enjoying the game. My favorite character atm is the "Emperor" just because he's pretty easy to use w/ his "seeking" Flares, and magic traps, those and "Starfall" are pretty much overkill. After the Emperor, Golbez is probably my next favorite.

So far, Dissidia's tied with the Bleach: Heat the Soul 5 for me.

I'm in the last chapter at the moment and have Terra at ~50 and Firion at 80. Will probably beat the last chapter at lunch today. =) Damn LS events keeping me from Dissidia! >.<

Yeah, but most characters start out pretty weak. >.>

Firion really gets good once he gets Weaponmaster and Double Trouble. =D I love those moves. >.>

how did you unlock shantotto?

I only just started playing, but didnt see her as an unlockable in the PP catalog.

You have to beat the story modes first. =)

So, what are everyone's favorite summons?

So far, mine are:
1. Ifrit
2. Magic Pot
3. Carbuncle
4. Phoenix
5. Bahamut

Tiamat sounds really interesting, but my fights don't last long enough to get the boost. XD

And wow... Chaos was really, really disappointing at level 81... Each form of his took like 5 seconds tops. Shot him the first time, then used Firion's chain whip for the second, and WeaponMaster EX Burst for a flashy finish on the last form.

This isn't the end... Another dream is waiting to begin.

Shantotto's story is pretty cool/funny. Never really liked her in FFXI, but she's cool in Dissidia. XD

You know i just downloaded this game today of TPB and i have to say i like it a lot more then i thought i would. I beat the main story lines with FF7 FF8 FF9 FF10 so far... i guess ill do FF1 onward now. I still have quite a lot to figure out but it reminds me why i love my PSP so much.

*Nods.* I really like the gameplay and lvling/rpg parts of it. Plus... I really REALLY love the cutscenes and voice acting. I really wish more games like FFXI had voice acting in the cutscenes. It makes it so much better to be able to hear them speak, plus they did a great job on the voices, imo.

Crisis Core had a ton to it aside from just the story and the missions are pretty fun. I personally really liked Tactics.

That's... Sad. Tactics is really easy.

Generally, for me, with all of the side-quests/extras I don't have to "grind". I don't just "only" do story essential fights though, I like to take the scenic route. =)

Yeah, I can see that. :P I'd rather do all of the extras that become available as they become available because then I'm not going back later and completely destroying them. To me, it takes the fun out of fighting some huge Boss when you kill it in one hit.

oh jesus i just saw your question... BOTH star oceans were freaking amazing....

star ocean 2 IS and always will be my favorite game ever made, and Second Evolution was beyond the perfect remake... i love all the voice acting except Ashton, but you get used to him.

I especially enjoy the portraits and new emotions they show. The anime cutscenes are also always nice.

First Departure wasn't too shabby either, i had never played the original first one on SNES. So it was nice to get some back story... it's funny how they used SO2 graphics on SO1.
