My main prob w/ pachi is the -acc and they delay. If I were ever going to do 5hit I'd buy rindos out the *** until I got an acceptable one.
For 5hit w/ pachi you need 18 stp in gear
Pachi (+2)
Hachiman kote+1 (+9)
Rajas (+5)
Brutal (+1)
Ecphoria (+1)
= 18, need 1 more
Options are (white tathlum, bushido cape, antilla's earring) 2 rly bad slots to give up for a point of stp and the other expensive as hell.
Even if you have usu shoes (+7) you don't get 5hit w/o hachi hands, this one though gives you a buffer of stp so you can WS in less stp gear.
Alternatively, can use askar body + usu shoes. Bad option though because you're already -6 acc on the weapon itself, then you have another -14-16 to add to that once subtracting acc and dex from haub to add to at least 10% less hitrate
Can use usu body and shoes, only way to get a 5hit w/o either sacrificing a lot of acc or 3-4 haste.
So, we'll go w/ usu body + usu shoes for my example. How these compare, any other combo w/ pachi will result in even less than the numbers shown.
6hit vs 5 hit
We'll do this in terms of Pachi and in a 6 minute interval.
This won't be a full fledged comparison, but just a basic go over of the two.
from 6hit to 5hit w/ no other factors involved 25% increase in ws frequency.
125% number of ws as hagun = 1.25
Let's look how this 25% gets a lot lower due to other factors.
We'll look at a 6 minute interval of 19% haste, march, march, haste, and hasso. We'll start both off w/ 300% tp from meditating while waiting on the party
Pachi: 172.8 delay
Hagun: 162 delay
Assuming WS hit hit hit hit hit WS for hagun and WS hit hit hit hit WS
60 delay is 1 second, 1 minute is 3600 delay, 6 minutes is 21600 delay.
Hagun's delay is 162
21,600/162 = 133.33 swings
21,600/172.8 = 125 swings
5 hits for hagun, after ws to 100 tp, 4 hits for pachi after WS for another WS
133.33/5 = 26.67 WS
125/4 = 31.25 WS
Now at first glance
31.25/26.67 = 17.17% increase in total number of WS.
But, we started off w/ TP and are using meditate once every 1 min 50 secs
Meditate will add the same number of WS to both weapons
we started w/ tp from meditate before our pt started. W/ sekk, that is 2 WS
33.25 ws vs 28.67 ws
W/ af2 hands and af hat, you will average 150 tp per meditate, 1.5 WS. In a 6 min interval, you will get to meditate two times, 3 ws for each
now we have
36.25 WS vs 31.67 WS
36.25/31.67 = 14% increase in number of WS.
This was assuming capped acc for both weps but if they are both uncapped, -6 acc. So let's say you have 90% hitrate w/ hagun and 87 w/ pachi. This won't reduce the number of ws gained from meditate so we'll go back to our orig comparison
31.25/26.67
31.25 x .87 = an average of 27.1875 WS
26.67 x .9 = 24.003 WS
Adding our 5 WS back in from meditate
32.1875 ws vs 29.003 WS
32.1875/29.003 = 11% increase in ws frequency.
At this point, hagun would only have to deal 11% more damage in WS to match the 11% more frequency of Pachi. Anything more than 11% and it is winning.
Again, there's more detail to this and the numbers would changes slightly as you enter in other factors, but this is a rough general analysis of the two.
And remember, this is w/ usu body and usu shoes. If you lose usu body or usu shoes, you have to replace haste w/ stp and the difference will be even less.
As far as rana goes, pachi is a 9.3% increase in ws damage from its base damage, and a little more from the attack (varies on target), but since agun's tp bonus still works (just for the acc mod not for the FTP mod) any acc you gain, provided you're uncapped should be able to make up for a lage portion of that difference.
