New Augment Results

This was probably worked out long ago, but just want to make sure.

You cant get +stats as augments that the gear already has can you? (other than ele resist)
eg. if i wanted to augment hauberks till i got one that rivals hauberk+1 i would never get +str +dex +acc or +attk on it, however i would still be able to get - those stats on it.

Does that then make it a "riskier" augment item to try because it has more stats on it that cant go up but can go down than something like Ruby ring, where it only has str. Meaning there are more chances for stats to go up and down rather than just more to go down and less to go up?

Anyone got any views on this?
