I'd be totally ok with them reusing Jujitsu Gi, Yinyang robe was one of the cooler model and job crossover reuses of an armor piece ever back in the day.
Manibozho/Mikinak/Kariyeh is some of the ugliest stuff theyve added to the game. Some people are okay with wearing mismatched/ugly crap as long as it has the best stats, im not one of those people.
One of the contributing factors to me chasing after stuff is 'does it look cool' - if the dev team doesnt recognize that as part of the formula in creating content+motivation for people to do things, then they are out of touch.

Yeah bad model and skirmish I being the only 6 man event from adoulin and not worth doing is my only issue with adoulin atm! They are adding gear to Skirmish :< we shall see..hoping for more hybrid light DD DT- peices.
Yeah, hoping for anything usefull from there, would make SoA fun for both ally and low man content.

this update looking great. dont see why everyone raging over it. i wanna know more about this. "Addition of weapons, animators for puppetmaster, and throwing items for summoner." guessing the weaker version of the delve weapons etc can be bought with Bayld?:) if so this will be epic.

The way FFXI is right now, if you don't have a proper group (which a very small minority of people have), you won't have instant fun when you log on. I don't want to play a game that does not allow me to have instant fun.
And don't worry about my achievements, I have done enough.

I'm guessing the 'throwing weapons thing' for summoner is a mistranslation and it may be an alternator style ranged/ammo piece that makes avatars more powerful like they did with pup puppets?

My telling actual colors apart skill is all ***, shouldn'tve leveled Graphic Design in abyssea man :( Now ill never get into high level content :(

Well that was somewhat an underwhelming updates. Oh well, guess just gotta wait for the next 3 big major updates for this game to get better. Slow but steady, the FFXI way, always and forever, 10 years and counting lol. Good thing there are tons of games on 3DS to tide me over and the little gem that is FF14: insta crack, sweet and short, for those who want it NOW, and not waiting for every single thing when playing a game.

If you aren't a very well-known player (in a positive light), most if not all groups will not risk inviting you along to boss clears. As for creating groups, many are even deadlocked at trying to simply get their Wildskeeper wins because zones have such horrendously low colonization rates that boss attempts would be futile.
All the best Linkshells that have succeeded already have their rosters filled and well-known acquaintances to call upon if needed. They won't take on unknown, new members out of kindness of their heart. All they'll do is offer a win for those with wealth.

Hopefully? Right now you have to be really focus on gearing yourself and 200% dedication to playing this game or you won't be able to enjoy the new contents. Or just wait till further updates would ease up the difficulty and make it more feasible for everyone to participate, usually this will happen in 12-18 months after that said content is launched.

We understand that many of you have been looking forward to the implementation of Cait Sith for some time now and we apologize that we have pushed it back and are making you wait longer.
The development team is would really like to implement this as soon as possible, but they are devoting a lot of their energy to the new jobs on the way as well as completely revamping the special abilities for each job.
Just to give you some insight as to how far along they are with Cait Sith, the avatar can currently be summoned and fight alongside characters; however, no abilities or effects have been added as of yet. Well not sure about that, I mean, if you just ignore SoA for now, there are still TONS of things to do in FFXI. Just pretend SoA never happened, and you will be just fine. Everything works as intended. And tons of stuffs to do, yes it is not considered top tiers and mostly are "outdated" so to speak in comparison to SoA gears + weapons. Or you can take a break till more updates being added :) It will take a good 3-5 more updates, which should bring it to a year or so. Abyssea is still not dead yet - and SE will celebrate it for two months with free atmas. Seems like they know SoA is all over the place, and the poor guy is overwhelmed with works and stressed, he can't even plan more than 3-4 months in advance...

What I think of when I read about throwing items for SMNs.
to be honest that would be a cool idea for smn if they allowed craftable one use abilities sold in stacks to be used via job ability along with smn avatars.
No really that would be awesome, it'd have to be avatar and spirit related or it can be a consumable that procs additional abilities, auras, enhances avatar/sprits or allows complimentary spirits to be used in conjunction with avatars....

I'd like to make an announcement about the next version update.
We’ve been working extremely hard to fit as much content as possible in the July version update so everyone can enjoy it over summer break, but due to balance adjustments, bug verification, and localization work we will be splitting up the update into two portions, the first taking place on July 9th (Tuesday) and the other taking place the beginning of August.
