Final Fantasy XV
So looks already define plot quality and character depht? That's really stupid.
There has been a lot of information released on the cast, check out page 5 of this thread. I don't find it to be exciting.
Yeah so much info I feel like I'm already into the game's world. We have like a two lines description of some characters and know barely anything about the plot. You have incredibly keen intuition to know already where all this is going.
There will be women in the game but Noctis is supposed to be kinda awkward so it's not that unusual for him not to have a lot of women around him. I'm sure his friends also act like bodyguards since he's royalty
Wasn't he supposed to be gay, though? Thought I read about Versus' protagonist being such and how cool it was at the time since it was (and still is) unmarked territory.
SE isn't very good at drawing lines when it comes to sexuality. They're probably trying to show it more by surrounding him with males than through actual character development. I just wish they'd stop with the trilogies or shoehorning sequels before the success of the initial game was proven in the market. Just make XV then move onto XVI with a completely different world/story jeez.
Cast is looking a bit bland but it's hard to make a call before hearing voicework and actually getting more of the story. I'm not completely opposed to some 3rd person shooting in my RPG (see Mass Effect) but I also play Final Fantasy for that 'Fantasy' element. I don't remember seeing that at all. I really wish I could remember the source, it was so god damn long ago. I very vividly remember reading it, though...
Pretty sure that was a joke article. Think the girl we've seen is supposed to be his love interest
Even if it's true, which is fine, there is no reason to not have cast diversity.
Quote: Noctis is said to be a shy person, but he initially tries to hide this by "acting cool". According to director Tetsuya Nomura, Noctis will not have the "Cloud-like" personality, but that he will be a type of character not yet been seen in the series, one which Nomura has wanted to try out for a long time. Nomura says Noctis will have a strong and distinctive personality, and will not be a "silent, gloomy little boy". In a Dengeki interview, Nomura explained Noctis is not cool, but rather an ordinary young man who acts tough because he feels it is his duty to protect his kingdom and its citizens. As a result, he sometimes acts rashly or overestimates his strength. Bismarck.Dracondria said: » Pretty sure that was a joke article. Zidane imo.
Sounds like the main character from a shounen manga.
I'd say Basch or Balthier were the lead characters of 12 though. Prompto is apparently of a lower social status than the rest of the main cast, might make his character a little more interesting depending on how they use it.
Sure Prompto is a terrible name.
Apparently Gladiolus is "little sword", maybe hinting at some insecurity of his? lol
For FFXVI, I want to see SE go back to an earlier game model (IX would be a prime example of excellent overall gameplay).
But theres still a lot of work SE has to do to win people back after XIII. I was one of those that didnt mind XIII, but there still were things needed to make it better Bismarck.Dracondria said: » I'd say Basch or Balthier were the lead characters of 12 though. The game was solidly Ashe the whole way through. Her kingdom, her internal struggle with revenge, her fight to build a nation in a new godless world. Balthier was the most interesting person (dat voice) and Basch's tie-in with Gabranth gave him a reason to be there and also protect Ashe. Duty calls 'n ***when you're a knight. Everyone else was fodder. Frans voice was sexy as *** though. Quote: Prompto is a Latin word, from which the word "prompt" was derived. In this case, Prompto may mean "for the ready [man]", or "for the quick [man]". Argentum, meanwhile is the Latin word for "silver". Thus, Prompto's name may have been an attempt to translate "Quicksilver" into Latin. But the whole game revolved around Ashe.
I really didn't like Fran's voice :\ something about it felt off to me. Fang's got the sexiest voice in FF!
Vaan was just the pov, not the main. And was never even meant to be.
I'm not sure what Fran's accent was supposed to be. It seemed like a bastardized northern european accent to me.
But between Balthier and Fran? Swoooooooooooooon. Balthiers VA could pick up women just reading out of the phonebook. Valefor.Sehachan said: » Vaan was just the pov, not the main. Penelo's outfit is so ridiculous
She looks cute in RW at least.
Balthier, Basch, Fran and the Judges were the only characters I liked in 12 lol. Fang and Sazh in 13 since they sounded good.
