LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Bismarck.Bloodrose said: » Asura.Rekin said: » RNG, GEO, SCH I can understand being important points in those delve boss battles. but Drg sorta baffles me. Were they used simply for Angon? in which case that is hardly worth mentioning over say RDM for casting Dia3. What was the purpose of the post? was it to say "hey look! WAR/SAM/DRK aren't the only DD jobs that matter! Also WHM/BRD/COR aren't the only support that matter! Our battles rock and our game's job balance isn't completely ***!"? 25% Defense loss is HUGE and can be critical at times. If I'm not mistake, it also stacks with Dia III, granting a 40% loss. Not to mention that given DRG's jump effects, it can reduce the enmity of the target behind you, and yourself, solidifying hate on the designated tanks. Considering that Stardiver and Drakesbane are no joke in the hands of skilled dragoons. RNGs decoy shot the DRG(s), and the drg super jump when they get hate to shed all the rangers accumulated emnity at once. It's not used just for the extra effect under spirit surge.
High jump also sheds 50% of your decoyed emnity while super jump isn't available. I think rng/drg is being used for shedding hate when decoy shot is down too. I don't think you can afford for your RNG's to be slowing down midway through the fight to avoid pulling hate. I think rng/drg is being used too for shedding hate when decoy shot is down too. You could theoretically do the exact same thing using pups with ventriloquy and deus ex. Admittedly a pup's def- isn't as strong as drgs, though it's easier to constantly trigger it without a rotation of angons. Guessing they just look to see when someone enters using beads and then watches their run rather than watching individuals?
Still kinda creepy to think they are watching us Asura.Jem said: » See I wonder how they decide who to watch. Still kinda creepy to think they are watching us Well they must be watching someone or the JP's are doing it different because we don't use SCH's for our kills and I don't think Lunarians do either so to single them out as an notable role means somebody is!

Cocoloot is awesome ya, I just like little pearls like that. I have derped just as much when contacting them (regarding Fantod back in 2008, for example), but back then "Rajas" was only the ring, it was nothing else, and it was famous as ***. Iwagami said: I am personally interested in what strategies everyone is using, and have been concealing myself near areas where these battles are taking place as well as reading everyone's blogs. I'm happy to see that monster strategies are gradually being figured out. I'd really be glad if you could share you information and let people know your experience with this content. Iwagami said: I'm really looking forward to seeing the first adventurers defeat the boss. Lunies did for their first bee, not sure about any after. It may have been deemed as not needed. However, once SE gives us our new SP job abilities, doing some fast swaps and putting the pld with no hate in with 4 rngs and the sch, the sch can use Caper Emissarius and put all the hate the 4 rngs have accumulated onto the pld, then quick swap back to the tank pt JPs were stunlocking Tojil so they probably used SCH!
It would have been funnier if they mentioned a thief being present.
You all make it sound like most of the GMs know the game or battle mechanics, they just there for tech support like getting you unstuck from a wall or to GM people, cant imagine they get payed much at all.
They all prob playing WoW or CoD. Bismarck.Keityan said: » Rukenshin never made his Yoichi. I did update my livejournal at that time as I was in that LS,(http://tkeichan.livejournal.com/2008/08/10/), but rukenshin was the one who updated during the fight. I had screenshots of the GM misstelling also, but after changing computers, I no longer have them. However, I was able to dig this up: Only people still playing from that screenshot is Shinote, Miggy, and Me (Simozene). PW literally destroyed our LS because everyone moved to WoW after that... Is there a strategy somewhere for tojil that I can go over? Also for that zone what are the nms you would want to kill? My ls has a good amount of beads and woukd like to attempt super boss soon.
I thought for some reason this thread would actually share strategy. Ravenn42 said: » Is there a strategy somewhere for tojil that I can go over? I thought for some reason this thread would actually share strategy. 4-6MNKs (mantra 5/5, FS 5/5) (SAM with Mura prob works ok for a couple spots) 3 BRD (3-4 songs each) 3 SCH with perfect stun sets 2 WHM 2 GEO 2 COR Buff to the high heavens, use ACC builds. FS for the first 25%. SCH go legion style on the stuns. Offline

Thanks Taint we have a bead from kurma from before the timer went to 20.... so we can try this soon.. only have 1 good geo in ls so might need to recruit.
You have a outside strat to kill kurma in 20 min? The MNKs need to have well-leveled Rigor Bakhnakhs. Lot of the JP MNKs have RP15 or close to it.

PLD, pup, mnk, drg, brd, whm rng, rng, rng, cor, brd, geo rng, rng, rng, cor, brd throw in whatever you want in last slot really, mule cor or w/e. should kill in 10-12mins with that pretty easily. Try to time WS's with his TP moves. A good pup will actually beat a good RNG when adding their pet damage. Ranged heavy is easier as you don't have to deal with his dmg or dispels for the majority of your DD. I didn't realize people still had trouble killing this in time. our fastest kurma is 7min

Well ty for the responses and I dont know how other servers/ls work, but on bahamut I dont see very many people with boss weapons or gear and I am yet to see any shouts for kurma. My ls killed all the nms from the release and has been fracture farming since. If someone needs a ki we just killed the ones that were easiest. So it is more about not attempting kurma not that we cant kill it. I also dont need to waste time if the wonderful helpful people on this site can help myself and others we can kill it the 1st time instead of trying and failing until someone comes on here and finds a strat or asks for help. Now we kill 2 nms in about 10 min and than continue to farm so members now want to try the boss so thats where we are at. We found having at least one part of MNK's with someone doing an enspell helped immensely. His magic damage boost goes up by 0.1 every time he takes magic damage and resets every time he use's tortoise song. Three MNK's with enspells will jack that multiplier to ridiculous levels even if he resets it with song they'll just jack it right back up again. We've tried both the SC method and just chain nuking the hell out of him, both seem to be equally effective though with the upcoming update to magic the chain nuking method might be better.
