yes. i had a rollback done and lost 6 months of progress, i asked for another and they said 'you used your once chance, sorry.'

No, no one ever had my info. I'm checking with playonline now, i haven't get on for like 4days, maybee got hacked 4days ago and already transfer and is having fun.

Besides visiting questionable sites, how is it people get hacked if they're not sharing their info? I understand the whole keylogger thing, but how does one get that unless they're downloading ***that's FFXI related?
Honestly curious here, cuz I hear of so many people getting hacked and it would be nice to know how this ***originates outside of the obvious...

Yeah, they already have his POL ID. Changing the pw can only do so much.

I'm not sure how prevalent this is now, but there's exploits in websites such as active-x that can essentially just upload a pws or trojan to you. Take that whole mess of the RMT advertisements last year.
Technically speaking also you could use the community site and brute force crack ID's, but you'd need proxies and more notably they monitor the website traffic. Not very efficient.
So basically it's just a personal security thing outside of FFXI, nothing related to the game or POL itself? That's cool, I got my ***pretty well buttoned down, plus I only visit a handful of sites FFXI related, so I'm prolly safe for the most part.
