Best 60 Cap Beast Set for Up In Arms?
Hey guys, I'm looking to do 'Up in Arms' a few times with my friends and we're going to do bst bst smn. I'm completely unfamiliar with 60 cap bst jug gear. I've been poking around the forums for ideas but I cant really find gear suggestions. What gear set(s) should I get for UIA? Thanks for reading.

Not sure about doing it the pet way but I do know the safest way is to do it with 2 blm and 1 rdm. Blms time nuke burst and rdm sleeps the mob. Rdm also refresh and haste and regen/ cure as needed. If sleep doesn't land, rdm can gravity/ bind and/ or the blms can sleep also. I don't remember my rdm ever getting sleep resisted and I just used very basic gear.
I realize this isn't exactly what you wanted to hear but at least gives you something to think about while you wait for sembe I post exactly what you wanted to hear Asura.Velvetsuicide

I usually do BLM/RDM and RDM/BLM duo. Works fine. Rdm uses grav, bind, and zzz while assisting wit t2 nukes. Blm uses ice and thunder t3 and am. Takes about 8 min to kill.
BST BST BST with all mushroom pets worked well for me, can duo it with two BSTs also, dont plan on fighting it much, hate is really funky.
Just sat back casted dia, and let pets hack away at it. Edit: with 2 BST's we got pretty close to the time limit a few times 4-5m win (depending on misses) with RNG/NIN + RDM. RDM gravities, RNG shoots with crossbow + holy bolts until it's dead. Can't get any easier. I don't use any level appropriate gear either, so as long as you have RNG over 60, you can easily adopt this strategy. RDM is my mule so I don't even nuke with him, but you could kill it even faster if you did.
I know you're looking for BST strategy, but the best strategies certainly don't involve BST. Way too slow and inefficient. Just level SCH and solo it..dont have to waste money on gear/muslums/jugs(like you do with BST) & much more reliable. People solo'd this bc no problem before the embrava nerf but with the new changes this bc is even easier
Bst x2 Smn or Bst x3 wins the fight really easily. Just stick with Funguar Familiar since he caps 65 and resist Ink Jet. Have pet food or let your pet die and replace with a new one. (But let the timer go down a bit before fighting.)
Just stay back when the NM goes below 30% because of the TP spam. Smn just spam Carby and mark sure to have Carbuncle Mitts with Light Staff. This strategy doesn't fail and always works. Sub whm and you really can't fail with that strategy. You have to be major noobs to fail the run. For the record: Did this yesterday with bst bst smn, was a complete success. The 2 BST were essentially naked (used 99cap gear w/ sync) One run we pulled out bst AF feet and body for reward, highly reccomended if you have it. Smn was completely naked (no gear) except for chatoyant + carby mitts. Bought the Fungars from an NPC in Khazam for 200g, synthed the pet food theta from mats scattered across a few mules. Used 3 pet foods each run per bst. Threw the pets on Fe'e and stood back. Never in any danger.

You could also just search "sch solo up in arms" on youtube if you want to see it done. nowdays though, embrava gives refresh so the fight could potentially go by a lot faster than what you see. |
