Oh, I forgot I have a job point in avatar accuracy.

Also, Avatar's Favor seems to add 3 perp to all avatars except Cait Sith and Carbuncle which is 2 perp.

New post on the official forums about Avatar's Favor.

Quote:
we are planning to make adjustments in the November version update that will increase the effect of Avatar’s Favor. To coincide with this adjustment, we’ll also be looking into making Avatar’s Favor an ability that is easier to utilize. One idea the team is looking into is to change how Blood Pacts reduce the effect of Avatar’s Favor, but we’ll announce more details soon.

After messing around with Atomos I noticed that his Deconstruction and Chronoshift don't trigger pet_midcast or pet_aftercast in GearSwap. There's also no "readies" message in the chat log when he uses them.

The ability is quite instant. Some people are saying he's unresistable, I haven't tested personally, but just set an macc set as a perp set for him.

Someone set the physical BP earring to Domesticator's? Is this simply guessing, or is there actually any data that says that the double attack does anything for blood pacts?

Based on my testing, it does not seem to work, and something like an Andoaa Earring would be increased accuracy, which would do more than Enmity.

Just curious if someone has actual data to back up putting that there.

Ive read on here that DA does work on physical BPs but it only adds a single normal melee hit.

That would be an interesting mechanic, but I personally haven't heard anything about that.

If it truly does work like that, we would need a good consistent test to prove it, as Avatar BP damage varies by a huge range. A 3% chance to add like 500-600 damage would be difficult to have solid proof of. By all means, if it exists, I would love to see/hear about it.

With the new earring damage taken-1 and haste+3, would you perp on that and moon with refresh or go with that and domesticator's for the enmity and DA?

I obtained the new earring today.

From the opinions I've gotten in game, everyone seems to agree that the Haste earring would be the better choice, and I'm inclined to agree as well.

In my normal melee set for avatar, I run Rimeice + Moonshade. In my "overdrive" set as I call it (pet offense/defense, when MP is not an issue) I just run both.

Keep in mind Rimeice has the Enmity as well.

Yeah, point for point Haste will be more effective then DA. Also, which avatar did you get the earring from?

Edit: Nevermind, earring comes from Shiva, thanks!

So, apparently Atomos cannot steal anything that be dispelled. According to SE, it functions like Absorb-Attri, so I assume that spell is the same.

Was fighting a mantis yesterday and it used Preying Posture. I was able to dispel its buff, but Atomos could not steal it (no effect).

So, this turns into a big guessing game as to what he CAN steal and what he can't.

Fun.

Also, a sand worm stole Sublimation: Complete from a Scholar in my party, and then Atomos gave it to everyone. No one has Sublimation, so nobody could use it, and it can't be canceled as a buff. Thus, we had a long period of time where nobody could get Refresh (over an hour). This isn't so bad because it's such a unique scenario, but I found it amusing.

I stole pro/shell in Incursion last night, and I just stole Afflatus Solace from Yumcax.

Edit: Just stole Vallation from Yumcax also.

Yeah, Yumcax uses Root of the Problem which steals buffs from party members. Anything he steals would naturally be stealable by Atomos as well.

Ah yeah, I forgot about that move, I checked wikis and they didn't give any info on it. But fighting Tchakka and I think I keep stealing Verve, I keep getting a MAB boost from him. About to try Achuka.

Leviathan melee average hit was 115.

Targets were Spinescent Protuberances in Dho Gates with Nirvana's Aftermath. I started with Domesticator's Earring but it was way too slow and based on the few procs I could get, Occ. attacks 2 times and DA works the same way.

To sum up, DA adds more damage than a normal melee hit. I macro Domesticator's Earring with Esper Earring on physical BPs, Andoaa+Esper if the target is very evasive.

I would imagine those 3 BPs were the main hit missing and the DA landing and in the case of the 940 bp a TA. So we could say it adds 400-500 damage for a DA on a BP.

Having trouble getting Pet MAB on my Hagondes hands and feet. Best I'm doing is either Pet Attack or Pet Magic Accuracy :/

Either way, will either of these augments be more helpful than the other for Flaming Crush?

Magic accuracy has no effect Flaming Crush but attack will help.

if i don't have a pet mab earring (too many active slots taken up....), would it be better to use dome. earring instead of andoaa earring for fodder mobs?
Are you talking for Flaming Crush? What are you pairing it with?
eslim said: »
he meant the mab augment on hag hands, a couple pacts work like elemental weaponskills in that they're increased with more mab.
I assumed he meant which of the augments that he was able to get would be more useful. Obviously pet:MAB would be more useful for Flaming Crush but if he's having trouble getting it, then attack is better then nothing.

Random question: Does anyone have the snippet to put into gearswap so I don't change gears when conduit is active?

Edit: while we're on that note, snippet(s) for flaming crush specific set?
