[Dev] Dynamis Currency Icon Update
Lol I know it's wrong to compare to Madoff.
This entire thread in a single post: SE is adding new icons to prevent stupid/careless people from buying the wrong items from bazaars. On one side we have those same people coveting the update because I assume they keep messing up and buying the wrong currency. And on the other side we have others who find it silly and are laughing at them for lacking reading comprehension.
tl;dr: Info post: SE adding new icons for dyna currency Follow-up posts: Stupids vs. *** /thread This entire thread in a single post: SE is adding new icons for Currency.Live with it.

You can be both stupid and smart overpricing and tricking others, but you can't be smart if you make the purchase, only stupid. Not that I'm saying people are stupid for making the mistake once or twice, but it happens enough that there are stupid buyers out there. If I kill my neighbor and seize his belongings, that is pretty smart of me to seize upon an opportunity while he's asleep to murder him and steal his belongings. I mean, he's pretty stupid for going to sleep and I'm pretty smart for realizing that smothering someone with a pillow will in fact kill them. I love it when Sparth gets saucy.
Snprphnx on Bismarck got 55 mil the other week from some JP dude buying a ton of singles for 700k a piece. I don't think I've been that jealous of a player in a long, long time.

If there weren't any buyers than there wouldn't be any reason to overprice currency, in the first place.

The bottom line is that it's minimal effort on SE's part and the people who do it are just seeking to capitalize on others' lack of attention. You can blame the buyer, blame the seller, whatever, the bottom line is that the sellers' intent is malicious while the buyer is most likely high/drunk/inattentive. I'm sorry, you can't just call someone stupid for making a mistake like that. They didn't consciously decide to buy it, they just weren't in a state of mind where they were paying full attention to detail. No, I have never bought one by mistake. If you eliminate the sellers than the potential to exploit the buyers still continues to exist. If you eliminate the buyers and the reason they're buying than that solves the problem entirely. Its gonna be hilarious when people still buy singles for 100 prices even after this update.
It's called a stupid tax. (You shouldn't do highly important things if you are any combination of drunk, tired, or otherwise unqualified to handle it.) Apparently this particular version of the tax is going away.
Edit: Would you sympathize with a drunk driver, a driver who feel asleep at the wheel, or a driver without a licence? I guess SE would. Colors and icons or not, its still going to happen!

I don't know why you'd think that. He thinks it will be funny... he's not trying to make a point or counter anyone's argument. Taking someone "seriously" when all they are saying, essentially, is "lol" is pretty... stupid. And really, whether or not you actually believe he will find it funny probably doesn't make a difference. Oh please tell us how this is somehow analogous to a drunk driver. Read the thread. People posted about buying currency while drunk. I'm pretty sure that operating while drunk can't be a lot more analogous than that.
Those people buying 1s at 100 prices are veering into pedestrians and wrecking property.

You're an idiot. If there were a way to proof cars / roadways against errors made by intoxicated / sleepy people such that no one would be injured regularly due to these incidences, it would be done without hesitation. Probably would if they decide to drive. Hell, if you can't trust them to make a simple purchase I sure as hell wouldn't want them behind the wheel.
How come no one ever buys my 1s at 100 prices, lol!
