Or they just didn't care enough to do so, and then we became too high in level for it to matter.
There's zero consistency in when they decide to fix what they deem exploitative.

I wouldn't say SE's really that good at aiming their banhammer
They temp'd me this one time for being AFK inside of a mountain during an EXP party. dafuq mang?
wow, amateurs. I could teach them a thing or two about administration and moderation that I could
In my opinion (call me Captain Obvious?) I truly feel SE's intent with this event was to extend the longevity of this game's lifespan in another facet. Same concept with the 1500 heavy metals, 250 umbrals, etc etc. Seems like they wanted HQ gear to be a commodity as seeing you need 25 floor 80 clears; all in which, that was possibly the most likely course of getting HQ stuff in their vision.
my mule got temped because kuroganashi didn't know how to /breaklinkshell when i was taking screenshots of the stupid ***he said.
Feel bad for your hard drive having to choke on that many screenshots :\
correct, it realllly isn't that hard to win as long as you have 2 competent SCH and 4 solid DD (war, sam, mnk is fine even)... im only 4/15 but its definitely possible, it just takes a couple months of building a static to get to a point where you can even get close to winning.
Yes it is true managed to pull a win on sunday with angelics group got a order lamp on floor 98 and managed to get it right on the first round luck was on ourside that time.
I got jailed once for doing a poll
"People who annoy you: N_ggers" 1. A 2. I Edit: To expand on this. My friend had a GM in Whitegate (cool spot at the time) and she was talking to him and when I did the poll, I got jailed literally like 5 seconds later and my friend called me and was like "Why the *** did you do that, there was a GM in that zone talking to me" I dont use the lamp swaps for nyzul so for me it was just luck called the usual order by player intials.

Only one pops every so often and you need to be fast enough/in the right spot at the right time. The NNI lamps are flat out LUCK based. There is no amount of preparation, skill, strategy to getting the lamps done in the right order and I think this is the biggest beef the player base has with this thing. How frustrating is it to get to floor 90 with 5 minutes left and its lamp order. Without .dat swaps? You're pretty much done unless you get LUCKY. Bolded the first line because it is an example of the textbook definition of luck. HNM is LUCK based, Nyzul is LUCK based, and they are both horrible systems. Over the years it is very easy to see how the player base has handled "luck" in their game: bots and dat swaps. As for the "everyone with windower should be banned" arguments, let's stop with the strawman arguments please, they accomplish nothing other than show you are unable to argue your stance. Correcting a faulty UI and circumventing the ingame mechanics are two completely different issues. And for the last time, stop with the "silver platter" arguments, no one is asking for it, people are just asking for things to be fair and well designed. Western game companies get this right all the time, no reason SE can't get it together. Snoctopus said: » Quetzalcoatl.Krylon said: » Claiming an HNM isn't luck. That is just the nature of the thing. Western game companies get this right all the time, no reason SE can't get it together. You clearly missed the whole point of my post. Claiming an HNM does have a bit of a luck factor involved, but there is mostly a level of skill required. The nyzul order floors are completely based on luck. There is no player influence at all. The biggest problem with order floors is that SE took the player's skill completely out of the equation. Please...lets not argue over the definition of a word. Claiming an HNM is clearly different than guessing an order completely out of the blue. Edit: Removing the order floors would be fair to the entire player base. Edit Edit: Yes, going around the current UI and the ingame mechanics ARE two different issues. Banning for a 3rd party tool and windower are, however, NOT different issues. Don't pick and choose when banning is appropriate based on a 3rd party tool and when it isn't. Its either yes or no. Not "ok here but not ok there". Don't pick and choose when banning is appropriate based on a 3rd party tool and when it isn't. Its either yes or no. Not "ok here but not ok there". I suck at segmenting quotes but I digress... If SE were to ban EVERY player who broke ToS...well let's just somewhat put this in perspective. The numbers I present are "out of my ***" figures but are only used to illustrate my point... Say FFXI has 250,000 active playing accounts. Of that figure, 150,000 are PC users. From there, 100,000 are somehow known ToS Breaking Users i.e.: windower, Q_Q dat changes, etc... Next, we'll say these players spend an average of $15.00 per account (mules). So...in one month, SE loses $15.00 x 100,000 = $1,500,000.00. Take that figure by 12 and you see how much money SE loses over piddly ***... Moral: they ain't gonna ban you for small crap...but they could amend their ToS to make it more discrete :P Well with people saying they can't track cheaters.. they can track drops correct..?
If you see someone going 15/15 in a matter of months compared to someone going 1/15.. that MIGHT be a sign that someone could be cheating.. or could be very VERY lucky.. but highly unlikely.. Check those logs/dates/times to see what was going down and who got it... sounds legit to me. Sounds like the Salvage investigation. Then again I could be spouting complete nonsense, but common sense gets the best of me sometimes. I'd personally like to try NNI, problem is finding people to do it.. plus the only job I have that can go is SCH.. and 0/345 on Anhur Robe so not going to happen anytime soon.. Just my two cents.. throw it back at me if you want. Valefor.Applebottoms said: » and 0/345 on Anhur Robe so not going to happen anytime soon.. You definitely dont "need" anhur robe to do the event. Just sayin' They just need to change order lamps. Either make it so there is no cooldown, make it so there is a less % of getting a lamp floor in your run, or make it so the required number of people for lamps is 3 max or something so even if you get unlucky, you can still clear in time. Also the reason why this game doesn't take "skill" anymore is because people understand the game too well. For the most part, most of us "veterans" understand the game to the point where nothing will challenge us anymore.

..Then again I really don't want this gear, lol. Valefor.Applebottoms said: » Well with people saying they can't track cheaters.. they can track drops correct..?
