Okay, it was originally a mistranslation on the NA teams part as the original Japanese version also says Tuesday as well (2 - 3:30 am in the morning).
Agh! How am I gonna fit dyna, fishing GPs, and moat carp fishing into the evening now :/

I see people fishing is this the update that they are doing something with fishing i hope they do not change it to much i have not fished in a very long time but it is one of the last things when it comes to crafts u can do and have fun doing it. One other point u can still make money fishing if u go after the right fish.
They tweaked fishing so it acts like it would on a PS2 so players who do not bot on the PC no longer have a disadvantage compared to ps2 players.
This is not a nerf, unless they screwed up... which is entirely possible :P

For PC players who do not bot, it can be more difficult.
The fishing update makes PC fishing simulate PS2 fishing.

Funny if you have a gamepad with ANALOG axis it plays almost the same thing on PC as it plays on the PS2. I have tried playing the fishing game using the keyboard and it TOTALLY sucked on both PS2 and PC, honestly.
Was so much harder with the keyboard ... -_-;

Funny, I couldn't play with a controller. I found the keyboard layout to be really comfortable for me.

I find so easy to play on keyboard. Index, middle and ring fingers of right hand to move the character, right thumb to move the camera, left hand to hit macros.

I only play FFXI with my keyboard, its the only way I know how ...

^ Same... I dont see how you can perform the hundreds of functions needed to play effeciently with a controller that can do maybe 20 functions? Granted I've never used a controller to play either so... To each thier own :)

All the functions needed can be done with controller, just talking through it is annoying, so I use keyboard just for typing in LS etc.

plenty pc games and ffxi dont need a keyboard but me personally i can play with keyboard and controller perfectly and a keyboard is far more efficient.
I could never stand using the keyboard for most games, even ones that didn't allow you to use a controller at all. FFXI just takes it a step further and has a godawful mouse.
Even for games like WoW that are keyboard only, I use things like a Logitech G13 or Belkin n52te and only reach for the keyboard itself to type when needed (most communication is done via vent anyways).

Everything feels much smoother with a controller and typing has never been an issue, just drop the controller in my lap for a sec then pick it back up without skipping a beat; but after several years I guess you could get used to anything.

but at the same time, anything a person feels most familiar with will feel "smoother"
